Drowning in the ebb and flow,
the suffocating rhythm of normalcy,
we march one-by-one
down the ever-changing path of life.
No words exchanged,
just moving steadily,
monotonously, on and on.
Night falls and day begins,
time's a-changing,
the wind's a-blowing,
and our storms brew.
Yet the people of the world march
on and on and on,
like ants--antennae waving,
sleepwalking through life's twists and turns--
no verbs, no adjectives, just nouns.
Be active. Be open. Be honest.
Live, laugh, love.
Be present.
