I don't know what to do or where to go
where my path leads, i don't even know.
Everything seems beyond touch
to hope for more seems just too much.
I've lost so much in such short time
I've lost things that were never mine.
so, when it seems i've lost everything
can i count on one simple thing?
can i count on an old friendship of mine
that lasted through the roughest of times?
can i count on my good old friend
to stop me from feeling like it the end?
if you are reading this, and you think you're that one
then would you be by my side when i'm tempted to run?
Run after me and don't let me go
but only as i friend, that much I know.
