So.. my dad's birthday is Friday. Derrin paid for his present. Isn't that sweet? He actually likes my dad, so it's okay. Even if dad has trouble notifying us ahead of time about needing a dog-sitter. Anyhoo... the gift!
It is a silver plastic bucket (they didn't have tin pails) filled with RC Cola, rubber worms, fishing lures, beef jerky, moon pies, and duct-tape bandaids. A redneck gift basket. I then wrapped it, basket style, in tin foil and added a white duct tape bow. Seriously.
The sad thing is, he and I would use all of the aforementioned gifts. That is.. unless his new fiance gets ahold of the lures. They will then become earrings. No, I'm not kidding-- we really are that redneck. It's kind of funny, in a way. Right? Right?
