I was in the back seat of an all black Escalade with my ***** Dro, a few random niggas I didn't even know, and some females on our way to meet Tyi, Quan, and a friend of theirs at the movie theater to see some scary movie. Everyone in the car was dressed like gang signs was all they did except me, i was dressed just casual hood. We were like 20 minutes late but a blunt was being passed around and the car was driving slower than speed limit.

When we finally reached the movies I was the last to get out the car but the second I touched the ground, Tyi was already in front of us pulling on their friend. Tyi was the assertive type that you really couldn't even ******** with unless you could take her ******** back. so I felt a little sorry for the girl. "Hey guys, this is our new friend. Teyl-... Tey!"

Tey looked beyond shy and I could've swore that every ***** around was drooling. Tey gave Tyi a angry look then turnedto us and gave us a 'no bullshit, don't ******** with me' look. Damn near everyone flinched. I was so high I was about to die from holding in my laugh. I saw intense fire in her eyes and she smiled at the fear on their eyes.

"The movie don' for like ten minutes, so let's have some fun and do whatever." Tyi ended the silence and started walking into the movie theater with Quan and a few other niggas. Tey turned around and followed behind them. I was in the back with Dro and the females.

"Joker, watch this. I can pull this girl without even tryin'." Dro leaned over and whispered to me.

I almost laughed straight in his face. "Good luck."

"I don't need luck, I'ma thinker. You see she dressed white, right?" I nodded. "Then I'll just pull her like she white!"

My smile was so big my face felt like it was breaking. This ***** had the dumbest logic that it was hilarious. He picked up his speed to catch up with Tey and grabbed her hand. She snatched her hand back with a quickness. "What the hell?... Don't touch me." She snapped at him.

He put on a light smile. "You're very pretty." He lightly touched her black curls.
Her fist clenched up and he damn near lost his teeth but she mumbled something and started walking toward Tyi faster.

I was weak. I was laughing so hard it hurt."You ********' fail, my *****!" He ignored me and went to walk with the other girls. Tey was right in front of me and I noticed that by the way she walked her feet must trip over each other a lot. Soon enough she straight up tripped on damn near nothing. I moved a little faster and caught her before her face smacked the ground.

She quickly recovered, snatched her hand back, and brushed herself off. "Again with a guy touching me!"

I put on a serious face like i was hurt but in my mind i was damn near dead from laughter. "Ok? Why you mad at me 'cause I stopped you from falling?"
When she looked at me I was expecting rage but she had a sorry face on. "Oh... Uh... Sorry. It's just that people keep trying to touch me."

I let out a laugh that I wasn't even expecting. "Yeah, I've noticed."

The smile she made surprised me a little. "What's your name?"

This made me laugh more. So one second you a scary a** girl mad for no reason and now you wanna know my name? Wow.. It's Dae, but most call me Joker."

She made a cute laugh. "Joker? Well I know your real name isn't Dae.. What's your real name?"

I sighed, everybody always asked for some reason. "No one else knows my real name, so why should I tell you?"

"It's Damon isn't it?" Her guess was right on the nose.
I couldn't help but smile. "Wow.."

Her smile was starting to look more and more real. "Yeah, I know I'm just that damn good. So why do they call you Joker?"

"You can't even guess how many times I get asked that. You that new Batman movie right?" She nodded. "Well everyone sees a resemblance between me and the Joker except through fighting. 'Cause I'm usually laughin' my a** off while I'm beatin' a *****'s a**." She giggled. "This is the most I've seen you smile all night."

She laughed again. "Yeah, I know." She took a quick glance at her watch. "Time for the movie to start!"

We all moved into the theater and I walked with Tey by my side. Me and Tey sat beside each other. We were going to watch some bullshit a** scary movie that I had absolute no interest in. I only had interest in this girl beside me with the bad a** personality. I slipped my arm around Tey because it was easy to sense her unease to scary movies. The entire movie was lame as a b***h. A few gasps and 'Damn!'s from our crowd but the only part that actually caught me off guard was when some white man got his face flattened by a hammer and his back slashed by a jagged saw.

Tey jumped completely and hugged me tightly like it was truly frightening. "Ssshhh." I told her trying not to laugh out loud. She probaly heard it in my voice.

The second the movie ended and we all were in the lobby, Tyi and Quan snatched Tey up and rushed out before I could even ask for her number. Dro rolled up beside me with the two females on his arms. "What happen? You strike out?"
"Nah, I just couldn't get her number in time."

"Too bad, my *****. I got some head in the theater though!" The two females started giggling.

"You's a funny a** *****..."
