Part 6: Father

Muraki's hands were on Nagi's forehead, he sighed as brought Nagi's right hand up and pulled the sleeve down. The white skin gave way to a brownish stain that made a strange symbol. "The spell is still on us, Nagi," he sighed and walked into his family home. He took his son into the hospital wing and put him on an operating table. "I'm sorry, we need to remove this from you."

He remembered this spell, he had done it in a fit of rage, he walked into his lab, picked up his son and carried him into the back of the lab. Schuldich was pulling against the locked door, the fourteen year old boy just couldn't bear his best friend being snatched up like that. "Go back to squad room C, boy!" Muraki yelled out and brought out a needle.

He had chemically induced Nagi into a coma once before, he saw the boy just staring at him with large indigo eyes. "Nagi, close your eyes, this will sting," his voice was shaky as he gave the boy enough for his little body to handle. He felt Nagi go limp and carried him into the other room. "I'm sorry."

Muraki took out a ceremonial dagger and pierced his finger and traced a sign onto Nagi's right wrist.

The past hurt, that was what Muraki thought when he decided to start the process again. He wanted to purge the boy's stomach so that he wouldn't throw up afterward.

Hisoka wondered what Muraki was up to, he searched Nagi's bedroom and found a piece of paper folded up on the bed.

Hisoka, Shinagami, if you are searching for Nagi, come to the Muraki estate tonight at nine. Muraki.

Why would he tell me so simply? Hisoka walked out into the hall and then gave the note to Schuldich. "He's at Muraki Estate."

"What would that b*****d tell us?"

The ritual had to be done at eight, that was what it said in the book, Muraki sighed and touched the boy's wrist. "If we don't stop this, Nagi, you'll die and so will I." He turned his head and looked in a mirror. "We can't go on like this."

"So, it seems that you are at your wits end," looking around he found Tsuzuki standing quietly. "Give Nagi back."

"I can't do that, you don't understand, if I don't remove the spell I put on both of us, you lose Nagi."

"What spell?" Tsuzuki looked confused.

"Look on my son's right wrist."
