A few days later Cyra was sitting in her chamber when her two maid came in. She said "What are you doing? I did not send for you." One maid said "We are sorry to desturb you. But the Sultan is waiting for you in the throne room. They are having a celebration and all the women in the harem are invited." The other said "You are to be dress according to your status in the harem." They helped her change into a long sleeve tunic, black buckskin breeches, a wide belt with beads that hung down to her knees and knee high boots. They finished and said "You are ready," then they all walked down to the throne room with the others.

She stood by the dais the Sultan's throne sat on. The Sultan said "Ladies I want you to meet my father." An elderly man walked out and said "I am so pleased to meet you." The women bowed and said "It is a plasure to meet you, your highness." Jeric's father walked towards the girls and said "Who is this young beauty," when he stopped infront of Cyra. Cyra blushed and said "My name is Cyra, your highness." Jeric walked over and said "Father, if you are thinking I would let you have her for tonight you are wrong. I have not had her myself yet." His father said "I was not thinking of that. She is a very precious jem, she will benifit you as long as you live." Jeric said "Thank you father." Then he clapped his hands and the celebration began.

A few hours later Cyra was sitting on a pile of pillows near the fountain. She was talking to her new friends. Jeric stood near the fountain starting at her. She laughed and her friend said "Do you know that his highness is staring at you?" Another said "The Sultan, i think, is in love with you." Cyra laughed and said "He would never." Jeric said "He would never what?" Cyra gasped and said "I. . .I don't know. I can't think of it now." Jeric said "Can I steal her away from you?" The girls nodded and said "Go ahead your highness." Jeric helped her up and they walked away.
