Unforgiven

I am drowning
In the recesses of my brain
Losing an age old battle
Nothing left to gain

My heart is torn in two
Between the complexities of my facade
My mask of woven lies
Is cracking and begining to fade

I remember there once was a time
That I did not dwell on the past
A time of victories - kind
Where my memories were not so abashed

When I could look into the mirror
And see the person I wanted to be
And not the single, faded tear
That I seem now to forever see

I am the lost soul that seeks redemption
From a god who is forgein to the word
Forgotten, sinking slowly into deppression
By a shinning lie i was lured

The world that once fell on it's knees to help a tortuered heart
Is now so easily beaten, mangled and torn apart.
