Its a shame, all along the things we thought were true
were really just well illustrated lies.
I’m never sober I confess,
Just thought I’d get that off my chest,
For a time the blade was far away,
But now it gets closer day by day.
I never stopped loving you.
But love for me, has
Become numb.
For as long as I could feel it
It was always for you.
But I paint a picture and make it seem so real
Real enough for you to feel, I can make my sadness
Go away, all I need is to draw up a lie,
And scribble out the truth.
Now, I’m afraid to say
There is to much ink on the page
That truth is no longer be seen.
