Sealed Fate

The thin line between fantasy and reality
becomes painfully obvious when you speak to me.
Once support and love i would foolishly out-pour
But now ,for you, i say no more.
I spent too long on this for me,
it took too long for me to see
that i was just being naive.
All the while composing my own elegy.

I clinched my fate the day we met
I thought then and there the stone was set.
But much to my own surprise
I had just written my own demise.
Only now ,as of late
do i realize i sealed my fate
The day has come for me to live
my own life and end this harrowing pensive.

Forever sealed i shall remain
White snow by blood stained
An indignant twist of fate
leaves me standing at hell's gate.
Waiting for serene repose
I clinch my eyes hoping for the gate's close
But it is open inviting me to slumber in pain
I ,by my own fate, have been slain.
