always remember someone, somewhere. They're always there.
the wall
The Wall
i have hit a wall.
i am struggling to climb,
to break through,
to break free.
free from worry,
all these emotions that
tie me down and deepen the wounds
that twist the blade and push it deeper.

brick by brick and stone by stone,
one at a time
i lift them away.
tearing down the wall, breaking through,
but not free.
every stone taken away is another lain.
an endless effort, a hopeless goal, a extinguished candle.

days, months, years pass
all the while one by one
i feel the end, its close at hand.
i close my eyes, open again. . .

the wall stands tall.

Away

quickley,swiftley,
fast
a shadow running by
faster and faster,
farther and farther.
pursued by a shapelless form
an evil hope, a silent noise.

left, right, right, left.
get away, far away.
run fast, faster.
farther and farther
quickley move.
move, just keep moving.
get away

tripped, fallen, vulnerable.

turn, hands guarding
eyes darting left, right,
right, left.
nothing.
sky above, ground below
spectre gone
to my feet.
"Why was I running?"

at least there's no blood right? sweatdrop

Hmm, yes, why were you running?
Best thing is to get into a good deep squat and leap over the wall. That or get bitten by a radioactive spider and climb over.
I'd have to say I like the Specter/Shadow lines the best.
The poem started off so hopeful and then it went more Negative. Kind of like what Ichi does sometimes.
It's good though. :}
