Halo 2


It's finally come. Halo 2 has amazingly managed to destroy all expectations, no matter how much you thought this game would be the best game made, it's better than that. Even though Bungie has toyed with our emotions more than a soup-opera by delaying this game for two ******** years, I could care less, I'm glad they put in the extra time to perfect this game.
First of all the graphics, "wow" is all I said as I stared in awe at the opening cutscene, you'll stare in amazement as you watch structures fall to the ground, you'll marvel how shiny MC's suit is. The levels are huge and Bungie has gotten rid of the repetitiveness feel of the last game. The weapons are amazingly detailed, too. Though, characte's expressions could've had a little more work, but that's just nitpicking.
Now, the sound. The openeing song is, as was the first, catchy,and guns sound like they should. But what I really loved was how in the first level when you fought outside of the space staion, the sound was muffled yet it seemed like you were in an airplane, not in space. I kind of wished Bungie got rid of the sound altogether like 2001: A Space Oddesy, to give you a real feeling of space. Overall, the music really complimented the feel of any certain event in the game.
Gameplay, what can I say? It's a FPS for God's sake! Bungie added a few new weapons and vehiculs, but it's still the same formula: shoot anything that makes your reticul turn red. This is not a bad thing, mind you, the controls still have the same great design and feel to it that made it easily accesable. Also, the A.I is much better this time around. Your teammates actually are very helpful and help you out of some tough spots. The enemies are the best I've seen, they actually come after you and know what to do if they see you hiding. This gameplay is a great stress-reliever.
This game is easily one of Microsoft's best works this year, or even in the Xbox's lifecycle. Definately a must-buy for anybody who owns the 'Box. With a gripping story, amazing graphics, great gameplay and sound, what else can I give it? I give it a 100%


Edit: I know I forgot Halo multiplayer, I forgot it because of connection speeds for everyone. It's good on high speed, but sucks on low speed so everyone'll have different reactions sad
