Short Version: A young, caring lady takes a mansion with many secrets, about it's history and current owners.

Long Version: This movie isn't all as scary as the previews make it out to be. It is suspenseful, though, and it messes with your mind throughout the course of the movie, dropping hints, giving you ideas, only for them to be destroyed at the very end. Seriously, only at the very end will this movie actually be made clear.

It revolves around a young lady named Carolyn (might be spelt wrong), a nurse who cares for her patients and quits her job to work as hospice for an elderly couple living on a large, wealthy estate. The elderly man recently had a stroke, which has left him unable to speak and pretty much paralyzed. The elderly woman goes and take Carolyn on a tour of the estate, explaining the rules and such and, finally, gives her a skeleton key, a key that can open any door to the house. One day after being sent to the attic, Carolyn notices a door obscured by shelves and such. She inquires the lady about it, and she says she hasn't seen it and hasn't entered it before.

Carolyn eventually manages to get in and finds many grotesque and strange things. She tells the lady this and demands to know the history of the house.

I won't go any further than that, since it would lead into deep knowledge that is better left untold. Not exactly spoiler, but just better let untold.
