As my boyfriend pointed out to me last night, I left out a part in my last post. After running from the goblins in the cave, they ran into a demon, who they faught. That's when Leanna passed out. Anywho, on to the next part of the story...
One night during traveling, Leanna had a rather vivid dream of her past. in her dream, she sat in her home in the kingdom she was bansihed from then her husband and young son (looks about 6) come inside. Her husband and her met with the king who tells them about an evil mage who's doing, well, evil things, and he wanted Leanna and her husband to destroy him. That's when she woke up. (News to me. Remember, I, the player, didn't know any of Leanna's background story). The six of them came to another town in which they cleaned up and whatnot. Leanna sat with the others trying to figure out how they would find the assasin guy (the one from the bakery with the wings). A sire then made his appearence to help them find the guy. As payment, Leanna and the others would have to get rid of a necromancer and his other-world creature. If they completed the task, the sire would automatically transport them to the twon where the assasin, duke, and general was (the duke and general were from Leanna's origianl kingdom). So they did. Leanna brought out Romulus, her tiger from the figurine she found (think Gwenavar, the panther of Drizzt, if you know who he is) to help them find and bring down the creature and the man. They all do so with not too much effort, though, during this time, Viet had fallen and gotten stuck in an open grave. sweatdrop
Poof, they were all healed and transported. Now for the distressing part... The assasin saw Leanna coming toward him and ordered his men to kill her and the others. The men got killed instead. Then the mage(who had helped the duke before) came up and casted Chain Lightning against them. Owch. Bulvie was out since he got the direct hit of the spell. More men came after them and Duncon nearly got trampled to death. Leanna went after the assasin, Viet at her side. They faught all they could...then the assasin stuck a bomb on Viet's forhead...and a big explosion accured. Leanna couldn't take time to find Viet and charged after the guy. They fought vigoursly (sp?) and both got beaten up pretty badly. It finally ended with a few well place stabs to Leanna's stomach and all went black for her.
She next woke up in a small room, Duncon sleeping in the bed beside her. Her torso was covered with bandages and she felt pretty cruddy. Then a figure came into the room with a sword and cloak over his face. Leanna didn't have time to get up and grab her sword or dagger...but it didn't matter since the man was Darian. He told her that she had been out of it for 3 weeks (she had lost a ton of blood) and had to buy a small house to live in since the inn wouldn't let them stay more than a week. He also told her that Reese would be back from his job (hey, they needed to pay for stuff), and that the Bulvie and Duncon were just sleeping (Duncon, she knew). She then asked about Viet. Darian shook his head and told her that Viet was never found. cry He then left her to fix her something to eat but Leanna refused to lay there any longer. She had just lost another she cared for. She made her way downstairs, refusing the food offered to her when Reese came back. She didn't say much to him or anyone. Reese was glad, though, that she was finally up and said that they all could get moving again. "With one less this time..."
Viet...poor little Viet. He was my favorite guy...the comic relef of the story and Tom killed him off. Pathetic as I am, I felt like crying over that. Tom warned me, though, that death would happen. I just wasn't ready for it to be so soon...
