Once upon a time this rock was softened by that weather and things kept getting into the cracks and spliting the rock...but finally the weather stopped its torment and the rock hardened itself and the things got pushed out of the cracks and the rock was once more impervious to the elements and remained subject to only Time.
Such a sad story I could make of that little rock...not sad as in emotionaly distraught but sad as in "Damn that is pathetic!"
