I woke up at like, ten today. That was awesome. And then I went downstairs and had some oatmeal for breakfast. I was gonna get dressed in normal clothes, but I realized I had no clean clothes, so I thought, 'Well, I guess I'll just do some laundry then...'
But it turns out my dad had already started a load of wash before he'd left for my little brother's baseball game. Well, that was alright, I would just finish what he'd started and get dressed. Only, I didn't have anything to do until my clothes were clean, so I figured I'd just fold laundry while I waited. This led me to realize that there is zero space to fold laundry on our laundry-folding, because nobody but me ever takes their clothes upstairs and puts them away. Therefore, trying to fold laundry was absolutely impossible. I finished what I could, then stepped back and tried to think of what I could possibly do to increase my workspace. My first option was to take all the towels and put them up in the linen closet, so that way they would be out of my way and people could use towels when they needed them. I took that option, thinking 'Oh, it'll just take me a couple minutes to put this stuff away, and then my clothes should be finished.'
Nuh-uh.
I ended up rearranging just about the whole linen closet to my satisfaction, while having a conversation with Maiyo, who laughed at me for being totally OCD about it. I can't help it! I couldn't keep my own room clean to save my life, but if something somewhere else in the house gets on my nerves sufficiently, I go on this crazy cleaning spree. My older sister's the same way. We are like two weird peas in a pod in that respect.
After that strange diversion, I went back downstairs and realized that my younger sister's clothes were in the way of folding too. So I took them upstairs and put them all away, and Maiyo laughed at me some more.
Now I'm all done with that and I don't have anything to do any more. I'm sort of mentally inching my way towards cleaning up the rec room and the living room and the kitchen...
