So, my new raid guild is pretty awesome.
We didn't get to raid today because there's something up with the Raid Commander's router.
But I got to run Heroic Botanica, Durnholde Keep, and Black Morass with some guildies today.
Grouping up with guildies is SO much easier than pick-up-grouping.
You ask in guild, and you get like 5 people offering to come help.
I really am enjoying this guild, heh.
The weird part is that we're on Vent 24/7, so there I am...
...talking to husbands and boyfriends, many of them with kids.
It's really odd because here I am, a 17 year old girl, socializing with people considerably older than me.
Of course they don't know anything about me rather than the fact I play an Undead Female...
I like the anonymity of it all.
Except the Raid Commander.
He knows my age because being over 18 is a prerequisite.
Thankfully I was considered mature enough to be an exception. :]
And seriously, I'm glad that they have that rule imposed.
I don't have to deal with the moronic behavior of teenagers.
There's no online drama either.
Drama is FORBIDDEN in the guild.
Just sit down, open up Ventrilo, say hello, group up, beat things to death.
This is definitely my kind of gaming.
It's all about respect, loot, and reputation rather than getting to know anybody on a personal level.
Completely different from FFXI, where friendship was everything.
I don't have to worry about ******** myself over on an emotional level anymore.
I can't even tell the people's voices apart, to tell you the truth. XP
No drama.
I could sure use that right about now.
I cried for the first time in two weeks today, and me no likey.
Everybody's trying to make s**t a lot more important than it's supposed to be.
Maybe my sense of empathy or understanding is a little impaired at the moment, maybe going through a minor breakdown just does that to me.
I really don't know.
But I don't know what the ******** the big deal is with everything.
And I mean everything.
The world's going to the dogs.
