Been busy and tired a long long long time. With the schoolpaper nearing it's deadline, it's publication and the latest thing around the newspaper: the distribution out.... I feel like I went through hell.... sweatdrop
While doing that distribution stuff, some guy asked me one in the corridors. I said no, cause the papers were to be distributed in the classes and the packages I had with me were exactly enough for each class. (we had to count them and tie the packages together) He said I came over arrogant...
What is arrogant?
I looked up some definitions:

Pride
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia.
In Christian dogma, pride (or vanity) is excessive belief in one's own abilities, that interferes with the individual's recognition of the grace of God. It has been called the sin from which all others arise. Pride is listed as one of the Seven Deadly Sins.
In English, the term "pride" also has a more positive sense referring to self-respect, a refusal to be humiliated (such as in Lesbian and Gay pride) as well as joy in one's accomplishments. In this sense, "pride" is among the most-quoted themes of political and societal discourse of English-speaking nations, especially of the USA. This stands in some contrast to that nation's general image of itself as a mostly Christian society.
Some languages distinguish between the two senses of pride; in French, self-respect is fierte and vanity is orgueuil.
Arrogance is the act of obtaining rights or advantages, including merely rhetorical advantages, through violence or threats of violence, or through verbal violence. Arrogance is as much an aspect of aggression as it is of pretension, which is unwarranted pride. An arrogant person is not merely unjustifiably confident in their own ability and value, but one actively seeking to cow or belittle other "lesser" people, in order to achieve their ends.

Pride also refers to a family group of lions.

Was I acting all high and stuff? Isn't the word "no" a very normal thing in society. But then the boy who asked was the type "I am sooo cool, I can get any girl, I am awesome and no one denies me stuff" or in other words: brat. (common at my school: people with Evisu and or Gsus clothing, personal audio (mostly usb key like ones or even worst: iPod) and an Eastpak bag.) Nowadays parents tend to say "yes" to the high priced wishes than "no", for most parents don't have time to really get a good relationship with their children and therefore choose to attend to the material wishes, rather than the emotional support. So those children won't learn the "no" part of life and with that a whole bunch of spoiled brats has been created that won't be able to survive society or even worse: school. Teachers constantly say "no" to pupils. Those brats won't take that and mock the teacher. Some teachers tolerate that, while others won't. Also most of those children are not the brightest. Mostly because of lazyness. Those who do make it to the higher part of education are even worst. Those are the ones that know what they want, know how to get it and are even more irritating than the others. While the others can be easily passed off for stupid. The ones with minds get even higher grades than you do.... Is it society? or culture?... or just the way the planets were alined for the last 5-10 years? ninja
