YOUR HIGNESS
YOUR HIGNESS

Looking around the grand throne room Orissa couldn't help but grin, it was to her liking, just how things should be. The walls were pure white with silvers etchings at the top, bright spot lights made whatever clear plastic was in the room shimmer with light. "Jaslene!" called the queen, her graceful voice echoing through the many halls easily. Jaslene was Orissa's favorite servant, someone whom she had known when she was very little. No, she wasn't a friend. The queen has no time for friends. She was just there, a warm body to fill space and suck in whatever the queen said like a sponge. She was useful and that was about it.
"Yes your highness?" asked a woman about the age of twenty, her long brown hair reaching her back when her head was slightly bowed. Orissa studied the woman for about a minute before breaking her gaze and asking, "Do you find that color horrid?" Of course Jaslene knew what she was talking about having heard the queen's previous rant about the ugly curtains. "Why yes I do because-" But Jaslene was cut off by her highness, "Because I say they are terribly and you must agree?" The arch of her lips sugested a smirk, but it was pulled away quickly by Jaslene's next words, "Yes mum, that is why." Orissa's thin fingers pulled into a fist, but soon let go and tapped agianst the clean throne. "Just because I seem to favor you does not mean you loose your tongue with me, you're lucky I see things this way." Before Jaslene could pull her lips to refuse her words a batting of the hand was signaled, saying she was once more dismissed.
Electric blue eyes scanned around the room once more before she stood up and stretched, thin arms reaching towards the ceiling as she yawned. Once more she hadn't gotten any sleep, damned Insomnia. After the welcomed stretch Orissa looked down at her attire, a pair of white skinny jeans complimented with a pair of black Ugg boots. Her top half was covered, an ice blue T-shirt covered by a blue and blac fur-lined jacket. She was warm, perfect temperature actually. Of course on her head was the all taken care of crown, pure silver with diamonds and saphires protruding from it. But it wasn't gaudy, Orissa would have nothing like that. The queen knew she looked good, she knew it for a fact. And even if she didn't, who would go against her? No one. Think of her as arrogant yet?
Stepping from the raised part where her throne sat Orissa walked near the window, eyes staring out into the snowy field that was around her palace. A sly smile shifted to her lips as she saw younger teens training, but her thoughts were interrupted by another voice. "Your highness, I see that you're unhappy with the decorations, is there anything I may do for you?" About this time Orissa was getting frustrated with the lack of intellegence with her current group of servents. Turning an annoyed look to the servant, who she hadn't seen before, Orissa grabbed the teen by the collar and brought her mouth close to his. "Yes, you can go to the library and possibly learn how to treat your queen, none of these stupid questions about what you may do for me. If and when I may ever need anything I will call for it. Now scurry off to your friends as say that the queen has touched your skin, possibly that you felt the coldness of her heart chilling your bones." Poor boy looked like he might cry, but that only made her want to laugh, a small grin appearing on her lips as she shoved him back towards the entrance of the hall.
The few who were actually allowed in the room didn't bother to stare, for they knew her ways and were quite used to them by now. Her eyes turned back to the snowy scene which had been interrupted, but there were new thoguhts filling her mind now. Today the King, Princess, and younger Prince of her opposing kingdom would be arriving. She wasn't nervous, oh no, she had nerves of steel. It was her younger siblings that she might worry over. They had been known to say some things that were out of line before, especially her sister who loved to start fights. But being the Queen she would also have to behave, keep her temper in check for one thing. Right, that should be fun. Keeping her wild tongue at ease was like caging a wild tiger. Possible, just not easy. Oh, and in both cases a few deaths might occur in the process.
Her mind was made up rather quickly, she would spend her morning outside so she wouldn't have to be bothered with anymore stupid servents asking stupid questions. Sometimes she thought they bothered her for a good laugh but knew it was all in her head. "I'm going outside, no one bother me." she announced as she head for the doors, waiting for someone to open them for her. Two others in the room ran, literally ran, to open them for her. In exchange for their 'services' she shot them an almost smile, one which could melt any cold heart. She was charming, she was cold, she was the perfect little queen who could set your heart a-flame. Was something that ran through her head as she sighed slightly after having walked outside the main part of the hall. Wuickly winding up and down the halls she had grown up in Orissa came to the large gate that went into the outside world, shoving her hands into her pockets before stepping into the cold wind that had been forced her way as the doors opened. How she loved the cold...
