Later that night, Auron, Jecht, and Tidus were in the sleeping quarters with Ann already fast asleep.
Jecht~Auron, your daughter is nuts
Tidus~And she doesn't even know Black Magic!
Auron shrugged~She takes it from her mother's side
Ann snuggled up more into the sheets
Tidus~But she looks a lot sweeter when she's sleeping
Jecht~Hey, how did she get her scar? You got yours from Yunalesca
Auron~I'm not sure, but if I were to guess, I'm guessing from an exam
Jecht~You're telling me that that happened to her from a measly pencil?
Auron~Jecht, I'm telling you she's a ninja
Tidus~All ninjas are pretend
Auron sighed~I do know some other things....
Auron got up and walked on the wall till he was standing on the ceiling
Tidus~Magnets!
Auron~This ship is wood. I can stand up here by focusing a special aura to my feet
Tidus~So that means I can do that, too, right?
Auron~With special training
Auron dropped down and sat back on the bed
Jecht~Auron, your world is so weird...
Auron~Well for locals, your world is weird. Telling anyone from the ninja world about Spira is like when you were telling Spirans you were from Zanarkand
Jecht scoffed~Then we're even
Tidus~What do you mean, even? She beat the crap out of us!
Auron~Well, that was your fault. She also went easy on you.
Tidus~That was easy?!
Jecht~You’ve no idea, crybaby
Tidus~I am not a crybaby!
Jecht~Fine, mama's boy
Auron~Well, if there's nothing more to talk about, I'm gonna hit the hay. Night guys
The two nodded and left. Auron took off his shoes and coat then nudged Ann over before climbing in bed with her

In the morning Auron woke Ann up
Ann~But dad...I don't wanna...everything is moving
Auron~Ann, you're not out of it. Everything really is moving
Ann~Genjutsu?
Auron~Close enough...Now get dressed
He stood Ann up and helped her dress. He carried Ann to a porthole
Auron~Remember? We left for Spira yesterday?
Ann~Oh…Okay. Yeah....Breakfast....
Auron chuckled and they went out to the galley

After breakfast Ann had climbed back up the mast
Ann~Dad, we're so far from the Mist!
Auron~Of course, Ann. We've been sailing even after we fell asleep
Captain~Hey, get that kid down from there. She'll mess up my crew when we don't need those sails
Auron~She doesn't like being called a kid....
Captain~I don't care! Get her down
Auron~Ann!
Ann jumped down for a few feet then slid the rest of the way
Ann~Yeah, dad?
Auron~No more climbing the mast
Ann~But...
Auron~Captain's orders
Ann pouted and walked to the railing of the ship
Captain~Thank you...
He went back to the stern
Jecht~Hey Auron, that kid of yours is just that tough right?
Auron~Her name's Ann. And she should be with all her training
Jecht~Well we're still sore from yesterday. Think she can help us out?
Ann~With what?
Jecht jumped
Jecht~How'd she do that?
Auron~Ann I said no jutsus. No chakra either
Ann~Okay, okay, but with what? No cooking though. I don’t like cooking.
Jecht~Just go to Tidus, the girly looking son of mine
Ann ran off calling for Tidus
Jecht~She sure has a lot of energy
Auron~Keep candy, sugar, and coffee away from her
Jecht nodded slowly as he went back down in the galley

Ann~Daddy, when will we get there?
Auron~Why, Ann?
Ann~There's nothing to do except chores!!! And I feel a little nauseated...
Auron~Kiba didn't do you all the way, did he?
Ann blushed a bright red
Ann~No! He didn't! Just...uh...
She cleared her throat and he chuckled
Auron~So you are active...Did he use protection?
Ann~Daddy!!!
Auron~What? You and your friend Ravi do have the potential to attract any guy you want. Your reputation just precedes you
She blushed more and Auron just chuckled
Ann~Dad you're so mean!
Auron~Well you too since you hit hard sometimes
He held her close and rubbed her back lovingly. Ann jabbed his side anyway
Ann~Dad, you really are a dork...
Auron chuckled~Maybe.
She rolled her eye at him
Auron~We should be landing in a few days if Jecht is accurate
Ann~Landing where again?
Auron~Besaid. Now, get some sleep since you're so bored.
