I refuse to sink back into that for more than a day. ><; *sigh*
SO! With Thanksgiving weekend and Black Friday behind me, I look forward to the mad holiday weeks where I try to spend time with as many family and friends as I can, since this is when they have the time to spend.... oh yes, and I HATE shopping this time of year.

Yes I know... I was crazy enough to venture out on the morning of Black Friday with a friend and try for some great deals. Found a few too. And then when my friend had to go elsewhere, I quailed at the crowds and crept back home to collapse. That's still very different from having to face the hordes that inhabit the malls every single day between now and Christmas. Between now and then, I don't go to any major shopping centers alone.

It's also a time when I try to spend more time with my son. So there are a lot of highs and lows as I look forward to the good things and then am sad when that time comes to an end. Life goes on though. This last weekend, my son and I had a lot of fun with Super Paper Mario mostly. We played a little bit of Mario Party 8, but we never got 'round to Pokemon XD. He also discovered I have a Mario shirt (found it in one of my trips to a thrift shop), so now he wants one too.

On the Gaia front.... The cash shop is annoying me.... but I did go last week and add some of the cash shop items to my wishlist, and made a deal with a friend last night to get me most of the items that are going to be discontinued.

I'd like to save up and get some more of them, but I think my more immediate goal is to get some more gold and buy a few more of October's collectible items. I've got one of each, and I want one more Vampire Hunter hat, and two more Gothic Veils. They're already going up pretty high in the marketplace, so I need to hustle on that.

I'm not sure I've got the patience to earn the gold though, or enough time to spend on Gaia. I might end up parting with a letter or two from my hoard to get the gold for it. >>;;
