So it's nearly time for the holidays again. I'm getting ready to spend a four day weekend with my son, and being surprised by how much my social life has grown over the last two years, that I actually have a need to juggle things and re-schedule things sometimes until I fit everyone in.
I'm definitely not the hermit I was just three years ago.
I still need my down time fairly regularly, but having more people to spend time with is wonderful, and I get to try out or do a lot of things that I've never done before for lack of someone to try them out or do them with.
Even though I don't celebrate the holidays, I'm looking forward to the holiday season. I get this four day weekend for thanksgiving, and when Xmas and New Years roll around, I'll have 10 days off in a row.
For this coming weekend, I'm looking forward to trying out Wii Play. I'm expecting it in the mail today, so with two controllers and extra games, my son and I should have a lot of fun this weekend. We'll throw some Pokemon in there too, for good measure.
I have plans to go see the Golden Compass movie when it comes out... but I made them before it became Gaia's latest advertisement. I know someone who is a big fan, so I told them they have to go see the movie with me. ^-~
There's another movie I saw a preview for several months ago that I know I'm supposed to go see with my sister, but I haven't seen it in the theatres yet and can't remember what it was called. Something about a prince getting transported to the modern day world.
Other than that, I don't have a lot of other big plans for this year, but lately I've been finding that lack of advance plans doesn't mean I'll have time to laze about. *chuckles* People keep hi-jacking my days and filling up my evenings. I'm not complaining. It's a lot of fun.
I hope everyone else has some plans to look forward to in the coming days when most have extra time off of work and families and friends tend to gather to catch up and hang out and feel loved.
