Part 2 Hisoka and Tsuzuki, Guardian Angels?
I spent close to a week in what they called the Ministry of Hades. I lived with Hisoka, which was okay, though the kid was pretty much a loner. Koda loved him, that was the first time I ever seen my spirit animal become so happy with people.
"He really is very friendly," Hisoka told me.
"He is also very protective," I whispered and walked into my bedroom and sat down on the bed.
I did not feel at home, in fact I felt useless, I was not allowed to return to my job until the two knew that Muraki was no longer interested in me. I wondered how long that was going to be. "Why would he want me? I'm plain and ordinary."
This gave Tsuzuki and Hisoka a freaked out looks. "You are special in your own right, Cally," I heard Tsuzuki. "That is why Muraki wants you so badly, he knows that you have a power that he wants."
"And what power is that?" I yelled and walked from the room and right into a man with brown hair and piercing eyes.

I suppose being invited to tea was a little unnerving from a guy I just walked into. Tatsumi who was polite, weird, had that look of utter entrancing beauty was everything I thought of as a gentleman. "I see that you are upset with your situation. Knowing that you are not dead must be dreadful for you, but to know that Dr. Muraki is after you is even worse."
What? I blinked at him and took a sip of my tea. "I just don't know why Muraki would want me."
He smiled and whispered. "Have you noticed that your soul is very different from normal people? Koda notices it and so does Hisoka, that is the reaons we cannot simply let you leave. I know that right now, we are just hinting at your powers, but in truth, you must trust us with your life. We can't have another of your kind dying on us already."
"Tell me what is so special!"
Adjusting his glasses Tatsumi sighed and looked around. "Don't tell anyone I told you this, but you are a very powerful demon soul. The truth is you're not a bad demon, but you're also not a good one either." He sighed and leaned back a little. "It is known to us that demons do take on human form for a time and they usually just want to live normal and uneventful lives with no memory of being a demon until death. The Earl thought it would be wise to keep an eye on you."
"I don't get it, I'm a demon, but that's impossible, there is no way I could be," I sputtered out, I was completely confused.
"Don't worry, once this problem is sorted out, we will have you back to normal in no time."
"Normal? What do you mean normal?"
I hoped this was not what I thought it would be. Tatsumi blinked and tried to think of something else to talk about, but in truth, I was in no mood to understand what was going on. Demon, that could explain a few things, but to be honest, I was human.

Another week past, I know for sure I lost my job at the embassy, but when I returned to work, it was as if no one really cared. I had Hisoka there watching from a corner, I realized that he hid quite well and was invisible most of the time. He would stand with Koda near the door of the office and watched the people as they entered.
I sighed and checked people's passports as usual and gave out the tourist information or had English speaking tour guides pick up their assignments for where they were to go.
This seemed almost normal, that was until I realized that Muraki was standing across the street watching me with dark eyes. I blinked and went back to work, I did not realize for a moment that really I was still being stalked.
Hisoka and I had lunch at McDonald's across the street, I never seen a kid so fidgety about his food. "So you really eat this stuff in the US?" he asked when he bit into a cheeseburger.
"Yes, but it isn't made with soy cheese." I sighed and was eating a salad.
He nodded and then turned his head looking at the Embassy. "It must be boring to work like that. Do you really like that job?"
"Not really, I wanted to teach English, at least to Japanese students, but sadly, this was the card I was dealt. I don't mind much, many of hte people who come in are really nice and sometimes are thankful to have someone who speaks English. Americans though are very pigheaded, for that I am sorry," I sighed and looked rather miffed.
"Why do you say that about your own people?" He seemed amazed.
"Because its true, Hisoka, we are very self centered, I have seen Americans give up their own families just to have their own way. My mother did that with me when I was little and I ended up living with my aunt most of my life."
He blinked and then turned to look at his food. "I know how it feels to be abandoned by the people you thought loved you. My family gave me away because I was sick and also because I was a freak."
This became unnerving, I finally whispered. "I never want to hear you call yourself that ever again. I don't care what you are, to me you're a person, that is all that matters to me. You're also a friend, that's what I like. I have been called worse than you and I really hate it when people put themselves down." I paid for our lunch and went back to work.

I suppose Hisoka never had someone do that before, but someone had to have done it. I looked over to find Hisoka smiling, that was haunting, I had never seen a kid smile before like that. His eyes were a bright green and not dulled, it was like I got through to him. At the end of the day he and I returned to the Ministry of Hades and there I found Tatsumi and Tsuzuki waiting for us.
"Great news, we just spoke with Section 10, they are willing to have you placed in Kyoto for your protection," Tatsumi smiled at me.
Did that mean, I was to leave Hisoka and Tsuzuki?
