Ok, It's been so long since i ever wrote something... I'll make this one extra fun.

Chapter 3: Love God
Tanugi got up and ran out the house. She bit into a toast as she rode her bike vigorously to school. "I'm so late!" She roared as she pedaled wildly.She reached the room just in time and sat down. Tthe teacher was a huge, muscular man with a curly mustache. "Hello class, I would like to introduce you to a new student, come up and introduce yourself please?" He said in a growling roar. Tanugi heard a chair scratch the floor behind her but was not at all concerned. "Oh my, he's a hottie!" giggled some girls as the footsteps passed Tanugi. The room became filled with giggling conversations of love-struck girls. A young man with silky balck hair and a heart tattoo below his left eye gracefully walked up to the board. "I am Aimaru Kiseki, nice to meetcha!" He grinned at Tanugi.

Tanugi looked up and almost fainted as the memories from last night raced to her mind. He calmly walked to his seath and waited for the bell. "What the heck are you doing here?" Tanugi yelled at Aimaru in an empty hallway. "I need to observe you in your natural environment and note down your habits and personality. Also, I need to observe Yukimaru Yamamoto and notice his reactions to your approach," He said in a calm manner. "What are you talking about?" She put her hands to her hips. "Listen, do you want him to fall in love with you or not?" Aimaru scratched his head in frustration. "I do..." She said without a moment to think. "Then let me do this, trust me!" he laughed and walked away. "Who was that?" Asked Mizuko behind Tanugi. "No one in particular, ha ha!" She smiled akwardly as she sweat from the sudden surprise. "Hm... I've never seen you this close to a boy before, Tanu-chan..." Muzuko giggled and flashed her smile that shows she is in sisterly-friendsip-mode. "No... He's just my friend, thers really nothing between us!" She blushed and looked away scratching her head. "Oh well..." Mizuko sighed and waved. "See ya Tanugi!" She walked off to her locker.

It was lunchtime, Aimaru sat next to Yuki at a luch table. "You must be Yukimaru!" He laughed and held out a hand. "Yes and you must be the new student in class 4..." Yuki smiled and shook his hand. "I'm Aimaru, it's a pleasure to meetcha..." He said as Yuki read his book. Tanugi sat with her friend in a different table looking at Aimaru. Aimaru sighed and drank juice. "So what do you think about school, Ai-kun?" Yuki smiled casually."It's all good..." Aimaru played with a plastic spoon. "Do you believe in love?" Yuki asked out of nowhere as he stared into the pages of his book. Aimaru's eyes opened in surprise... he took the words out of his mouth. "No, not really... do you?" Aimaru asked. "That sucks, why don't you?" Yuki looked at Aimaru. Aimaru thought about it for a moment. "Love is overated... it's just something humans invented to express passion and false emotion. It's not even natural. Humans think it's so sacred like we can't live without it. Other species could, we are the only ones so dependent on it that we'd give anything to have a taste of it..." Aimaru growled and scratched his head. Yuki frowned and looked down. "Basically you're right, if you break love love into it's basic components and take away all feelings and emotions that involves it, then it is a pretty pointless human mechanism..." Yuki closed his book. "But life without love is too plain and pointless as well... everyone needs someone who will care for them and make them feel special. Nobody wants to be alone," Yuki smiled as Aimaru sat in silence. "this has been a very nice conversation... I hope we converse again Ai-kun," Yuki said as he got up. Aimaru sat silently, looking at his plastic spoon. "Nobody wants to be alone?" He asked himself.

After school, Aimaru and tanugi met outside the school gate. "So how was it? What did you find out about him? Tell me please!" Tanugi bounced up and down excitedly. Aimaru sighed and smiled meekly. "Nothing important..." He replied softly. Tanugi tilted her head and looked at him as if he was someone else. She smiled and looked into his eyes... he glanced back. "Do you want to eat lunch?" she said flashing a graceful smile. Aimaru looked at her. His eyes traced the soft features of her face. "Whatever..." He blushed and looked away. The pair walked into a burger store. Tanugi got a cheeseburger with fries while Aimaru settled for a salad. Tanugi glanced at Aimaru's ears and noticed a change shes been ignoring the entire day. "Your ears... they're human ears..." she said as Aimaru looked up at her. "It's high tech Love god technology... not only does it make me look human, it also limits my love god powers so that I don't look suspiscious..." He explained. "What are love gods anyways? What do u guys do?" She asked as she sipped her soda. "You don't need to know..." He said coldly. Tanugi pouted and bit a fry. "We're almost like humans, with only a few differences..." He explained. "Except for our ears, the only difference between love gods and humans is that... love gods can't fall in love..." He mixed his salad and looked down. "Maybe that's what drives us to help two humans fall in love... I guess it's a form of entertainment and duty..." he met eyes with Tanugi. "It must be sad... bieng unable to love..." She looked down. He looked at her and his facial expressions softened. He looked away and scratched his head. "I don't get what's so special about love, I mean you can't even see it... it basically does not exist," He growled. Tanugi looked into Aimaru's eyes through her glasses. "If it doesn't exist, why are you trying so hard to make us fall in love?" She asked dramatically. She looked out the window sipping her soda, feeling like an idiot again. Aimaru looked at her and smiled. "It just makes me happy to see two lovers share the same fake, happy emotion we call love," He smiled at Tanugi. "Well come on master, let's go..." He said as he got up.

The two walked down the sidewalk and Aimaru looked up at the sky. "It's gonna rain..." He said as the first drops hit the cold concrete beneath their feet. "We better hurry back!" Smiled Tanugi holding her arms above her head. Just then they entered a thretening scene. A dozen policemen circled a bank, one of them had a megaphone. "Come out and put your hands up!" The megapone boomed. A big man wearing a ski mask and gloves came out with his hands above him. "Now come peacefully and we'll not use excessive force!" Roared the policeman. The man grinned and glanced at Tanugi. He ran madly and grabbed Tanugi. "I'll shoot her! I'LL SHOOT HER IF YOU MAKE A MOVE!" laughed the man as he put a cold barrel of his revolver to Tanugi's head. Sweat dripped down fron her face and she closed her eyes as the rain fell down from the sky. She was about to cry... "Someone please help me!" She tried to wiggle out. "Shut up..." The man pushed the barrel closer to her face. Aimaru stared at the scene... he cannot do anything... meddling with human affairs other than love is against the love god code. He made a tight fist as he clenched his teeth. The police were negotiating with the criminal as thunder and lightning fell from the skies above. Tanugi is crying helplessly in terror. Aimaru growled and walked into the circle... slightly hesitating. He shoved a policeman aside. "Hey, this is dangerous, kid!" growled the policeman as his hand was slapped away by furious Aimaru. The convict laughed and licked Tanugi's terrified face. Aimaru shot a terrifying look at the culprit. "What are you looking at? I'm taking this girl and have my way with her if I don't get away with my money..." the man laughed. Aimaru's eyes blazed in wrath... he thought of why he wanted to save his human. He has gone too far and already broke a great love god law. He pulled his hand out of his pocket and held it up. He moved his hand down and a huge wound appeared on the man's shoulder, making him drop the gun. Tanugi ran to Aimaru and hugged him greatfully. He looked down at her and blushed. What is this feeling? His heart raced faster than the moment he drew his sword... the sword in his hand he used to cut the man with. The police quickly arrested the man and thanked Aimaru. Tanugi still held on to Aimaru as the rain fell rythmically on the concrete floor. Aimaru hesitantly embraced Tanugi warmly... he like this feeling... for some reason he was glad Tanugi was safe. He liked the feel of her soft, warm body... it's a strange but delightful feeling... ciould this be love? He blushed and coldly pushed her away. "Sorry about that, Ai-kun..." She blushed. He turned around and put his sword in an unseen sheath. "Lets go home..." He said casually as if nothing happened.
