Yea, it's difficult to tell someone you don't want to talk to them or you wish they wouldn't talk to you. You're right, you probably will come off as rude either way you do it. But maybe that's the point? I mean, you can either keep on putting up with them, which makes you miserable, or you can cut them off and you still may feel bad, but at least you won't be miserable anymore, right? Dunno if I make sense...
