Why's Moonlit so addicted to fanart?
She has no idea.
It's fun to try and draw other people's characters to fit her style for one...
And uh... Whatever. Fanart is fun. ^^
Anywho, I wanted an excuse to use my purple colored pencils 'cause they were lonely. Kratos is not an excuse, he's a deterrant. Knoll's cloak thing looks like a pain to draw and I'm not quite sure where my FE8 went (so that counts Lyon out, too). And uh, I can't think of many purple characters. I think Tyram has purple hair but I don't like the colors on his outfit that much.
And then I was all, "Oh duh. Mr. Moon Jester."
So I drew him.
And then I colored him.
NO I DON'T WANNA DRAW PUPILS YOU CAN'T MAKE ME.
If I'm lucky the shinyness of his hair will distract you from noticing that I didn't even try to do wrinkles. I mean, not that I usually do, but hey.
Speaking of his hair... I only have four purple colored pencils so I had two choices:
-Make his hair somewhat near the correct shade of periwinkle, but not so shiny.
-Make his hair super-special-awesome shinyness, but nowhere near the right shade.
...Moonlit likes shiny things. D: Really likes. She can't resist making any and all yellow things shiny.
His cuff looks funny... It looked perfectly fine on paper. D:
Well, most of my stuff does look better on paper but whatever. >>;
At least his bangs don't look too screwy. :3 I couldn't quite figure out how to draw 'em all wonky like they were in-game, but I think he looks nice with these...
Speaking of in-game art, the person who drew the official art for it worked in Studio Ghibli. You know, all the Miyazaki films? I = huge fan of them. <3333 MIYAZAKI~~~
Oh yeah. Moonlit got the "bad" ending and the "normal" ending for LostMagic yesterday. It was fun. :3
*spoilers for bad path lawlz*
It was sorta sad 'cause you have to personally kill off every. Single. Sage. This includes Leonard and Trista, who were "killed" by the Diva back when you refuse to give up the wand... Great. Now, Leonard, I can see him escaping. Heck, I can even see him poofing away Trista as well, if it weren't for the little problem that there's a significant gap between their two deaths, and that Isaac keeps freakin' out 'cause Trista was killed right before his eyes.
I mean, the best I come up with is that the Diva's magic merely knocked out Trista and that Isaac was too much of a twit to check, but Leonard noticed and poofed the two of them away and then they split up to attempt to fix their seals or something.
...But really, it's sorta bugging me that there's NO EXPLANATION AT ALL for Trista living (at least Leonard semi-not-really-explains, "disappearing is what I do best" wink . >>;
Anywho. I mostly drew the Leonard pic because I sorta felt bad about offing him. >>;
It doesn't matter which ending you're aiming for if you pick the bad path. Leonard still dies. And so do the White Bishop and Popokura and Haze Lord and Gravel Stone.
What DOES matter is whether you choose to kill Trista or not. You have to fight her regardless, but then you get the choice of whether you want to finish her off.
If you do, she just says she's glad she met you and she hopes the world you create is a good one, blah blah blah. And then you go straight to the Diva (without picking up the Lost Magic of Wind) and she congratulates you for killing off all the sages for her and says, "But one task remains... To eliminate the Sage of Light!"
Then she kills Isaac, takes his wand, and becomes the new Creator. Dead Isaac is left wondering where exactly he went wrong, and starts saying stuff about how he was trying to create a new world free of sorrow and the Creator, and then he finishes by saying that he doesn't want to be reborn into the Diva's world at all.
The you get the choice to save, no "The End" screen. Well, really. You just effectively screwed the world over. Of course they aren't giving you a "The End" screen. They want you to STOP the Diva, not help her.
It is nice that there's an ending where the bad guy (bad lady) actually does win, 'cause usually they're there for the sole purpose of stopping.
And it's a neat ending, because it heavily implies that Isaac was never under the Diva's control at all. Fun.
The "normal" ending, though, Isaac is indeed under her control. If you opt not to kill Trista, Isaac snaps out of his freaky expressionness and goes all, "WHOA WTF WAS I DOING." Then you get Trista's Lost Magic and you run off to fight the Diva.
Thing is, you don't get Trio Runes or the dragons or anything so it might seem a tad harder, but it's really not. You don't need Trio Runes for the Diva unless you brought dragons, and you can't have dragons if you don't have Trio Runes. And besides, it's hard to fight the Diva with dragons. Believe me, it's much easier to have a bunch of monsters because her stupid charming spell probably won't hit all of 'em.
Anyways, I really like the ending you get after you beat the pants (er, robe) off of her. It's pretty sad, but it really helps add to the story more than "Isaac was a goody-two-shoes so everyone's happy".
I think that'll be the ending I'll typically pick unless I really, REALLY like the "best" ending. But I haven't gotten it yet (I was a tad rude to Trista in the start so I missed it by ONE FRIGGIN' RELATIONSHIP POINT), so I don't know.
Lawlz at long entry.
