"Wait, Anita, it didn't do anything wrong, i didn't even touch her!"

She was waiting for me when i came home from the rights... i had just been given the title of count by the king, and Anita refused to come with me... something must have happened while i was away, her beautiful porcelain skin was flushed, her blue-gray eyes were red and swollen, her corset half done and her dress unpressed... her hair was strewn carelessly across her face.

"I have eyes for only you, Anita, lips that only long for yours."

Someone had told her that i had been having secret meetings with the Duchess of Grant, and that we were having an affair... lies spread by my enemies, i figure.
We had met in secret, but it was nothing remotely sexual... There was a plot to over throw the throne from inside the military, one of the generals, were not quite sure who was pulling the strings.

Anita ran up the stairs of our home and shut the door to our bedroom as i caught up to her, she bolted the door, but i had a key.
in i went, she was at the dresser, taking her clothes, i wrapped my arms around her waist and pleaded for her not to leave.

"Please Anita, Think of our child, Think for Gabriela!"

I was no longer denying what her assumptions were, i was too scared, my body may be strong, but my heart is weak... i don't want to be alone anymore...

She twisted free from me and slapped me hard on the face... pride got the best of me. i let go of words before i could catch myself...

"I love you, Anita, That won't ever change... But if you don't believe me, than that is my fault, you stay here, i will leave."

And without another word, i left my home, a home i was awarded after the war... the only place left to go was the Clair estate... Christoph ,the man who found me in that cave would most likely take me in once more.
