I had long feared that the errors of my past would return to me, I had hoped it would not be so soon. Jeseb had long since been considered dead by my hand. It was naturally, a shock to me when it was he who had approached me. He had picked up my son in the guise of a family friend and I fear any further action should I not give him the codes I possess.
He had arrainged a rondevou that night, a meeting which I cannot refuse for the good of my family. I have doubt I will survive this encounter, if I fail to kill Jeseb then he will find retaliation in my family. I weigh the importance of both treasures in my hands but find both equal and I cannot give them either. I cannot fail my son.
Dear Iphedes, forgive me for what I must do, I will leave this journal with you and I hope you nor anyone may ever know the translations of my symbols.
