I'm in Atlanta, Georgia right now... I left late Wednesday night and rode on a bus for 17ish hours. I like it here, it's a lot greener then Texas, and I'm spending all day everyday with some good friends.
Oh, right, I forgot to tell you -why- I'm here. I'm in AITP (Association of Information Technology Professionals), and it's the National Collegiate Conference, so it's basically a big convention for nerds. There's programming competitions and stuff. I'm pretty sure I didn't win the one I entered, Visual Studio.Net, although I think my friend might have.
Sorry if I sound really disjointed. It's 2:30 here, I only got 6 hours of sleep last night, and I only got an hour or so of uneasy sleep on the bus ride here. I should be sleeping, but I don't feel like it, and that's part of the fun; I don't have to do it if I don't want to.
So here I am listening to my iPod and typing this journal entry.
So. My first bus driver's voice was like that one guy from Princess Bride-"Incontheivable!" It was hilarious, to me at least. Hmm... Other interesting things... Uh... Not that much. I'm working on a robot-program-thing that replies to typed messages. Like SmarterChild from AIM. I find it entertaining, and it's working great so far. It's really not that hard to do.
I've gotten some interesting ideas for my "Fallen" stories (See coffeeSlave's journal... And I'm too lazy right now to link that.) I also got to know one of my school mates who's closer to my age a little better. Interesting guy, even though he's really quite. Kinda reminds me of me. When I'm not sleep-deprived.
Also, I apparently freaked out last night. I don't remember it, but my roommate claims that I jumped out of bed, ran across the room, rolled into the fetal position, and started rocking, saying, "I'm not crazy, I'm not crazy!" The fact that we watched Butterfly Effect right before we went to bed makes me think that either he was dreaming, or I actually did it because of it. He caused a bit of an excitement, though, because he ran in terror downstairs wearing only pajama pants, without his room key. This startled workers, who complained to him. So he had to find one of our chaperones and get her help... I guess he ended up sleeping in someone else's room that night. He's sleeping fine in our room right now, though. Hopefully, there's no repeat of last night-Although, he was mumbling in his sleep.
Anyways, goodnight people. I'll work some more on the Fallen stuff, and maybe I'll work on that tomorrow.
