for your benefit. if you find my poetry so entertaining, i'll post some more. so have fun. most of these aren't very good, anyway. a lot are really cliche`d and emo. but i guess that's how i was a year ago.
something i wrote spring or so of last year:
"ive never wanted anything
as much as i want you
and ive never been counted as something
before you were introduced
ive never experienced life
until you pulled me through
and ive never believed in anything
i live because of you"

remember that little notebook i used to have? and i wrote in it with my "secret code" all the time last year. i found it again. and all the poems. but most of them are pretty bad. a lot of them have some disgusting cliches in them (like "an island of bliss in a sea of pain; your voice is sweet as sugarcane" wink , ewwie. and they all have the same rhythm. all iambic and such. like this (also written last year, spring/winter):
warnings of death
have come and gone
but there you stand
less right than wrong
to your fading life
you still hold on
through pain and strife
you were always strong
the heart that held
your love has gone
and it it's place
is darkness

though here is another pretty nice-ish one (12/20/05):
HOPE
you know you've lost the battle
but your heart points a different way
you mount you horse's saddle
starting a brand new day
youre reaching for a shrinking light
at thend of a dark black cave
with all your hope and all your might
you can come out saved
though destiny is set in stone
it has many twists and turns
what's right today will soon be wrong
all you need is hope to learn
this one is sort of weird. strange topic and the rhythm shatters a bit at the end (12/23/05):
into the wild flames
your dangerous love
i know i'll never be the same
the water rises
they say rain is sad
a shower of pain
but i know the sins its had
the water rises
love has never been easy
for anyone
try not to ignore the pleads
the water rises
don't leave me alone, alone
when im drowning in you
this love will kill me wind blows, wind blows
the water rises
slowly burning, freezing, dying
why don't you try to save me
i know you loved me, you weren't lying
the water rises
this is the end
was it really your fault
i guess you tried to save me
but what was once clear is now stained in blood
though i am now gone
my spirit lives on
i can come back to you
but the water never stops rising
haha, here's a sort of funny one, once you think about it (12/17/05):
remember those good times we had
i hate it, how they seemed to pass
what was once forever
finished off in just a snap.
and your love which bound me tight
seemed to get less strong
when the day turned into night
i knew i had been wrong.
for your heart no longer needs me
i guess mine is the same
i still don't think we'll ever meet
because i forgot your name
ummmm. . . this one started as a love poem, but then it got insane and gets off topic (11/28/05):
you caught my eye
not a big surprise
i've always been a sucker for love
what i feel
is never real
it's like a mist that comes ang goes
ever changing
rearanging
i guess you'd better deal
this way
that way
don't take me seriously
i don't mind
im like the tide
in and out
high and low
what's my next move
you never know.
ohh, i have a million of these poems. don't worry, though. im only picking the good ones (12/8/05):
INFERIOR TO INVINCIBLE
every second of my life
ive been hiding from the past
letting the world pass me by
falling back to be the last
but today ive changed my mind
im finally standing tall
i will leave the rest behind
what can stop me? nothing at all.
door does not rhyme with boy. . .
tried to make this poem cryptic and abstract, failed miserably (12/13/05):
standing out in the middle of nowhere
waiting for a western sun to rise
can never really be sure
when you look into blackened skies
and when the sun sets to the east
bringing on the day
nothings ever certain, but at least
youre here to block my pain
ok, last one i promise (6/9/06):
fallen stars
and stranded dreams
till the end
our song will ring
till the end
my soul is free
new begginings
death will bring.
