Mrrrrow~!
So um... my journal updates have kinda fallen by the wayside as pre-con work for Fanime has taken up more of my time the last few weeks. sweatdrop I'll get back to it. Really, I will. Of course, it hasn't helped that at the beginning of April I came into posession of 3 new games for my DS, plus the new Pokemon game later that month... and now my friend has loaned me their copy of Paper Mario for my wii.... whee
In any case, things are progressing bumpily but still progressing. xD; I'm actually holding down 3 con staff jobs this year, so that's a slight juggle, but for the most part they don't interfere with one another. This started out as 1... then 1.5... then suddenly progressed to 2, and the 3rd one was taken on in response to a desperate plea of, 'the person doing this disappeared... please can you fill in?'.
Despite this, I think I'll have more free time than I did when I was spending 8+ hours at the Gaia booth during the day and then pulling a single constaff job at night. (Which is what I did last year...)
In other things, my arms.. especially my right arm is a bit sore this morning because I discovered that Wii sports also has boxing. I've been saying for years to various friends that I really need a punching bag. Now, it seems I've found an alternative. xD; Yaaay for wii sports.
If anyone wants to find me at-con, your best bet is to try to get my cell# ahead of time. However, I should be in programming ops from about 12noon-4pm each day, and on duty for Rovers from about 10pm-2am or so. The six hours in between, I could be anywhere. I'm not likely to be found at the Gaia booth this year though, other than perhaps very briefly to pickup a couple of shinies. Nor will I be at the Gaia Panel this year, and probably not at the Social either. Not unless someone gives me a compelling reason to attend.
And now... just a couple of notes about in-Gaia stuff.... *sigh* The new quest is annoying me. The first movie quest was okay... the second one about anime and having more of an actual 'quest' was better. The third one, back to 'watch a trailer' is so completely just a promotional advertisement.. that coming a bare week after the last promotional advertisement and reverting back to pure advertisement and away from actual 'quest' is disheartening.
We've waited for the quest system for years. Now all we get are promotional advertisements. stare I wouldn't mind one of these once in a while... I mean we get a cool item for not much effort. But this seems to be all we're getting. Where's the real quests?
I suppose it boils down to $$ again. The promotional advertisements obviously they get paid for, whereas making us a quest that's just a regular quest doesn't bring in extra moola. It's a little sad, but I guess everything really does boil down to $$ eventually 90% of the time. Ah well.

Yeah the Tsubasa quest was great compared to the others, and I know nothing about the Tsubasa series. emo
