Alexis is 11 years old,
tryin' to figure out why the world's so cold.
Parents are goin' through a nasty divorce,
she's hiding while they're fightin' on the porch.
Parents are screamin',
Alexis is bleedin',
inside and out.
No one really know just what she's about.
Been cryin' since she could breathe,
just wants to pack up her stuff and leave.
She knows she can't so she won't,
'cause she's everyone else's antidote.
A secret that she's holding inside,
she just wants to go in the corner and hide.
Alexis is helpin' everyone out,
they just don't know what she's about.
They leave her alone in the cold,
in the end there's no hand she can hold.
She's out there helpin' them all,
but when she needs help there's no one she can call.
Everyone keeps holdin' her back and won't let her go,
until she's just alone no one to turn to.
It's like she never exsisted,
cryin' keeps gettin' more persistent,
nothing she can do but get her clothes and pack,
runnin' away and ain't never comin' back.
