These cuts like burning oil.
Marking me in many ways,
This body ready to spoil.
These names are carved in my skin
These words are stamped on my hand
Telling me who I must be,
Who everyone seems to see.
This poem makes sense to only a few
For those are the ones who knew,
The pain she felt as she sat there
Taking it all in as she stared.
No one looked in her eyes,
No one touched her face.
No one was here to help her,
When she fell out of place.
So tell me I'm ugly,
Tell me I'm sh*t
Call me a sinner,
Call me a slut.
I'll write it all down,
On my paper white arm.
I'll rip it all up,
And let the red ink spill down.
These names are like poison,
Choking my last breath.
Think no one would care,
About my own death.
But there they are,
All standing in awe.
Staring at her arm,
Marked there is every flaw.
They thought it was nothing,
It was just a big joke.
But as they see now,
She was taking notes.
On her arms read everything they ever said.
All the words they had in they're heads.
She carved them all in,
Letting them finally win.
He never loved her,
And he never will.
He's in love, however,
With another girl.
Whom isn't me,
And never will be
There's only one,
Not a billion or a ton.
I'm not another copy,
I'm not another girl.
You never saw me,
And you never will.
So I'm giving up,
On the one guy that is you.
It's your loss, buddy.
I'm not here to entertain you.
Leave me alone,
And shut your mouth.
I'm not listening anymore,
Go tell it to someone else.
These tears may be acid
And these cuts may be oil.
But inside I know,
This body is NOT ready to spoil.
