"Ugly."
"Gross."
"Disgusting."
Those were the harsh words the boy she was deeply crazy for said about her. But once a long time ago back when kids would play with eachother and not care what one another looked like, he was one of her best friends. But now, since they were almost high schoolers, things changed, a lot.
"She's so fat I can barely see if she's human. She's just a blob," he mumbled to his friends, but just loud enough for her to hear the words that ripped at her heart. "Has she ever heard of a diet?"
"She'd probably kneel over and die if she ever heard the sound of that word." His ever harsher friend whispered, snickering behind her. She sighed and tried her best to block the other words from entering her ears.
She knew that it wasn't just because of the way her body was shaped or the full curves she had, but she also dressed different from the other kids. She wore her hair long and black, always in her face, and black clothes. She realised this as she got home and layed on her bed with small droplets of salty tears fell down her plump cheeks.
She looked in the mirror beside her bed on her big dresser, just staring at herself.
Ugly. Freak. Fat. Those words ran in her mind as she looked at herself for a few more minutes. She picked up her shoe and threw it at the mirror, making it shatter into small peices on the floor. She smiled to herself and payed no mind to the glassy mess she had left behind.
She decided to get up, and go through her older sister's clothes. Her sister was the kind of girl who had the nice, colorful clothes that made you look more mature and, well, brighter. She borrowed her sister's hot pink tank top and tight jeans, the kind all those skinny girls wore at her school. She smiled as she decided to wear them the next day. He would deffinately change his mind about her.

There were a few akward stares glancing at her way the next day at school. People were whispering and pointing at her as if she was some item on the school's lunch menu that looked really disgusting.
After the four periods of the day, she goes to her next class, with the boy she desprately wanted to see. She walked over and smiled at him.
"Am I ugly now?" She asked, staring him in the eye, hoping for a nice answer. Instead, what she got, was a cold laugh.
"Are you blind? Look at you! You're disgusting, Bridget!" He exclaimed, him and his friend laughing at her. Soon, everyone began to join in and make fun of her.
She got up and left the class, feeling ashamed of herself and her body. She ran home, tears blurring her vision and sobs getting stuck in her throat to the point where she couldn't breath.
A few weeks pass by, and her mother decides it'd be best if she left that horrible school and go to a private school a few hours away. She never came back to that place, and never wanted to. She hated everything and everyone in that town.

A few years pass by, and the same boy is at a rock concert to see the new artist perform at a local concert. The band was awesome, and the lead singer was gorgeous. She had long, silky black hair and the most beautiful face with a body to match.
When the concert was over, he was finally at the front of the line for autographs. He smiled down at her and handed the CD to her. She looked up at him with her gleaming blue eyes and smiled.
"I'm a big fan of your's. I love your voice." He says, adoring her. She smiles and takes the compliment.
He was about to say his name when she said, "John, right?"
He nearly choked, and nodded. "How'd you know?" He asked in reply. How did this beautfiul woman know his name? He felt like the luckiest guy in the world. She smirked and shrugged.
"Just a good guess," she mumbled, writing on the front of his CD. She hands it back and says next to the other person in line. He smiles and walks away.
He looks down at his CD she had just written on. His eyes grow extremely large as he saw what it said.
"Am I ugly now, John?"
