PROFESSOR
Professor Dean was walking across Pine Bridge when he saw a pretty young woman standing by the edge. He smiled as he walked over to her and introduced himself. He asked why she was gazing down to the dried up river and she said she dropped her hat down there. Now the professor hoping to get a date said he would go get it, and that is just what he did. She who later said her name was Mary, was very happy when he gave her the hat, so she gave him her number, with that the professor and Mary then said good bye and left. After a hard day working at the community high school sat in his chair, then he felt something in his pocket, it was the number of Mary… the numbers were barely visible but he could make them out, so he decided to give her a call. Mary picked up the phone and he invited her on a date so she gave him her address. He picked her up a 8:00 sharp. After the date they went for some ice cream, they talked for a while and then he took her home. A day later he fount that she had left her jacket in his car, so he went to her house to give it to her. He got there and an old woman answered the door. He said, “is Mary here,” the woman said Mary didn’t live there but the man saw I picture of her on thee wall. He quickly pointed it out and said that she left her jacket in his car and just wanted to give it back. The woman said that was impossible and that Mary had died 50 years ago! The man was shocked and didn’t believe her, so the woman who was Mary’s granddaughter told him what cemetery she was buried in. then quickly after that the professor left. He went to the cemetery and there on the very edge of the cemetery he found her grave saying that indeed she had died 50 years ago, and that she had died on that very bridge falling to her death, trying to get her hat. So did the go on a date with a ghost, was the bridge haunted, you can decide, I only wish my great great grand father Dean figured it out before his death, now I will never know.
