A story I'm writing.
♥ I'll find you somewhere
I'll keep on trying until my dying day ♥

Chirps and fluttering wings filled the quiet night full of sudden sounds, making small animals scurry into their safe dens and holes. Something was wrong in the air. All the creatures sensed it. Along wolves necks and backs the dark and light hair stood ridged as growls of fear and defiance came from deep within their frighten bodies. Evil was coming and each creature knew deep within that it had taken claim of the woods. And nothing would ever make it leave. It would crawl through brush and fly through the leafy tops in a deadly shroud taking claim of any creature that fell in its path.

A young wolf opened its eyes and rushed to its feet with a jolt. The dream that tormented the young one came again leaving it gasping for breath and looking wild eyed around its den. The young wolf calmed down after he realized that he was safe. His panting slowed into normal breaths. The dream had been so real this time unlike before. It had begun like it always had for three weeks now. A clouded figure would appear then it would come into focus with a large wolf head that had fiery red eyes that seems to sear through to your soul. He remember standing in fear of this foal beast though why he knew not. All he knew was that this creature was to be feared and stayed far away from. The ghastly creature would open its mouth just slightly and dizzying smell would fill the dark world and sting the young wolf's eyes making them cry until he awoke just before the creature came rushing in with mouth agape to tear his head clean off.

But this time it was different. He had felt the beast's presence. Sensed the decaying breath as the beast opened its mouth preparing to take his head. He had felt the rush of wind as the creature sprung on the attack before his eyes snapped open and he laid in his den safe and sound with his mother, father, and five siblings. They were still asleep and his startled self had not disturbed their slumbering forms as they laid huddled together to keep warm during the cold winter months that had come earlier than planned for all the creatures of the woods. The warmth of their sleeping bodies filled him with warmth and he badly wanted to go back to sleep for he was so tired from the restless nights that he could barely hold his ground while he and his father play fought during the day hours before he left for the hunt with the other older males. He hoped he would some day join them on their hunting trips and bring back big catch for his pack. He had no idea that what he wanted to do and dreamed of doing would never come to him.

Eventually he arose knowing full well he would never sleep as long as he was plagued by that horrible dream of whatever that monster was. He walked up to the den's entrance and looked out at the cold white snow as it laid upon the earth like a blanket with no true warmth to all its whiteness. This was his first winter but he already knew that the snow was cold to the touch for this was the fourth week of this seemingly endless blanket of snow. He looked up and knew the trees themselves were freezing their branches off as they swayed in a wintery breeze. His fur shifted in the cold breeze making him shiver and pull his head against his chest as the wind played with his young ears. He didn't like the cold and he had heard from the others in the pack that it would be winter a few months on the day when the snow began to fall. The skies were always overcast now. It seemed so dark and cold all the time regardless what time of day it was it seemed the sun had forsaken them to the cold dark.

He walked back to the warmth of the den desperately wanting sleep before the rest of his family awoke and began their daily routine with or without the dark skies and ice cold snow. Slowly he nudged his way back into his spot between his brother and sister, Taroke and Sundrea. This had always been his spot since he was first born and he loved sleeping between them the most compared to his other three siblings. His sister, Sundrea, was the only girl of the litter and he felt he had to protect her for always from the others for they were so rowdy and might hurt her badly. So he always placed himself between her and their brother Taroke for he always twitched and kicked in his sleep so he would receive the nightly blows of his unconscious brother instead of her. He looked at her now and thought of how beautiful she was as she laid there asleep.

He slowly moved over her and laid his weight on her body slightly and felt her small body rise and fall as she breathed. He nuzzled closer until he fell asleep as her warm body rhythmically rose and fell while they slept. The dream didn't bother him this time as he slept knowing he was safe next to his little sister's side. He didn't know though that she had only pretended to sleep while he moved over to her and gave his cheek a lick once she knew he was asleep. She watched as he slept knowing something was bothering him in his sleep and she wish she could help. Poor Xiasa, he's so tired all the time. she nuzzled his golden brown fur as he slept.

Just taking a stab at writing a story without dialog at least obvious dialog.

♥ I just need to know whatever has happened
The truth will free my soul ♥
