You were my saviour in my time of need
Information on the Exisa
The Exisa is a carnivorous creature with large claws, sharp teeth that can tear any beast including others of its kind to shreds in a matter of minutes (depending on how much of a fight is put up). The males and females look completely different even from the moment they are born. Exisa is covered sparingly in fur while the rest of its body is all exposed muscle. They have heads that slightly resemble a werewolf with large ears that are tinge black. Horns grow from their heads into dark sharp tips and they have back frills like a dragon's along with wings of one. (Females only have the wings though).
Males:
Adult males are catagorize by their large heads, deformed looking claws, and the look to their eye. They also seem less willing to fight others unlike the females. On top of that they hold very clear conversations with humans when they are disguised as one of us. I happen to have met a male Exisa on my travels but of course I didn't realize it then.
Males mainly hunt alone or with their mate. Sometimes they can be found hunting with other males but only during their adolescent years. When they grow older they tend to move on their own. Males rarely stay in one place too long unless they are taking care of their mates when she has his cubs. They are very loyal to their cubs' needs even though they want to continue their rambles through the world and explore.
Though they are bigger than the females they never proceed to prove their strength unlike other species, including ours. They tend to prove themselves by their loyalty and their intelligence. Females on the other hand show off their fierce power and will to tear anything apart but they still have much cunning when they do so. Also the males hardly get into fights with other males unless there is a problem that refuses to be resolved in any of the ways it can, only then will they fight to possibly the death. Depending on the problem itself.
Males also never court with the females. Yes the female does all the work while the male judges her personality, strength, and how much she truly wants him to be her mate. Males are very picky with the ones they stay with so the female who wants him the most will try her hardest to be the kindest, smartest, and most charming of all her opponents for him.
Females:
Ruthless, intelligent, and always on a search of meat, females don't often allow themselves to lay back and enjoy a conversation unlike the males. Mercilessly they hunt down their prey then before eating they play mind games with the poor beast they happen upon to make their meal. Females are catagorize by huge wings, brute strength, and a wicked look to their faces and eyes. Even when they are small they are very dangerous. Also they are the only ones with wings the males do not. No one knows why.
Females rarely talk to others of their kind unless it's a male they are interested in mating with. They will fool the males they want into thinking they have found a good female by sweet talking them. After that the female will become more and more unreceptive to him until mating season returns for her. Females rarely leave their male companions unless they die or are murdered. Only then does the female with or without cubs will seek another male companion to serve in his place.
Females do feel for those they pick for life and never truly move onto the next male for he could never live up to the first male. Though it is rare that males die for they are so friendly towards others and express their intelligence. So the likeliness for a female to be without a male once she matures is very rare.
Male Cubs:
Male cubs are define by a delicate head and having little resemblance to their elder counterparts. They are just like the older males with a curious streak and a calm way of handling things without violence. Even when they have younger sisters who love to fight they will simply pounce or knock them off their feet and walk away before she can collect her thoughts and stand back up.
Also the male cubs love to explore and chase after things but never harm them, just to catch and study how they move and such. Curiosity is always a blaze in their young eyes. In fact if you were to run into a cub of any kind a young male Exisa is the best choice. They never harm others unless they are starving for food. Many times when I have come across a lone male cub he will often come up to me and lick my hand.
Male cubs love to play and often to go swimming. According to one cub I talked to he said the water feels good against his exposed muscles. They carry this restless curiosity into adult hood and even into their old age when they stay close to their mates more until their final days.
Female Cubs:
Much like the older females they are born cruel. But unlike their elder selves they have only the beginnings of wings. The rest is fully formed and only grows more over time. Just like elder females they are smaller than males of their own age. This carries on into adult hood.
Female cubs rarely go to explore like the males do. They only go out for one thing and it's to feed upon flesh. Even when they are this young they love to eat more than anything except perhaps to mate. But that's for when they mature completely.
Also they practice their flying skills for leaving the ground into grand leaps and jumps letting their wings flex and move even though they only let the cub grow accustom to the feel of the wings. Females often try to impress the males just like they would when they are grown but for a different reason. Instead of for seeking the mate they desire they try to make the males want them though without consent could never have them.
Habitats:
Homes for Exisa can range from mountains to your own neighborhood. They aren't very picky when food is plentiful for their great appetites. Though more often than not they will pick a place where there is plenty of water to drink and wade in. Also they love places with much shade from the sun and cool breezes so a desert is a rare place to find these amazing creatures.
Males mainly search for homes in high rocky areas near waterfalls with great pools below to wade and swim in. Some can be found near the sea where their diet mainly consists of sharks, whales, and dolphins. The females live in the male's den so wherever he chooses to live she has to go along. So females chose a mate that is in their ideal place to live if they can.
Diet:
Exisa eat anything that has meat on or in it. That includes human made food like hamburgers and chicken tenders. Males love our food while females will only eat it to calm their hunger and not to arouse suspicion from us. Males often come into our towns and cities just to eat something that they don't have to chase down. Sometimes they chose a home in civilization just to have one thing less to worry about.
Enemies:
Exisa have no natural enemies. Unless you count old age and disease.
Mating:
As you know, females do all the work. But males also have a hand in some of the courting work. The male's frill will change colors when he senses mating season near. Many times the females are attracted to the bright colors of the male's frill. The brighter the colors the better. Young males without mates have brighter colors than an older one without a mate.
Raising Cubs:
When cubs are born their parents raise them together. The father teaches them many things like how to talk and to think correctly. The mother teaches them to hunt and to be ruthless with the kill no matter what it is. Though mainly the parents know already how the cubs will grow and change with their surroundings and their inheritance. Cubs mostly the males will often stray so their mothers set very strict rules about leaving without their parents accompanying them. Also mothers will protect her young from other females in the area. In the case of Exisa the males pose no threat.
Females with cubs tend to kill other females including their cubs if they have their eyes set upon the male and the den. Yes females will kill for other males when they find their male is not sufficient enough for their needs.
Society Order:
Exisa have a very strict society even though their behavior will say otherwise. Females always come first when it is time to feed while the male will have to wait his turn. Though when cubs accompany on the kill they will get first dibs on the pieces of meat they want then the females and finally the males will get a turn.
Males respect other males territories and their mates. They rarely go after another female for they stay very loyal to the mate they chose to be with for their life span. Also males will help with the old and dying to find a place to die and to be buried. So nice.
Extra Information:
All Exisa have great emotional reaches and mind boggling intelligence that I believe if they did not respect us they would dominate the world at this very instance. Even though the females are blood thirsty and will murder anything if they can catch it, they feel greatly for those they respect and their mates. Unless they were born and raised without much feeling from either parent.
The males have a higher understanding of their emotions though and do not question it often unlike the females. In fact females question many things when they are not busy being spiteful towards others or out on the hunt. Many times when they are in a talkative mood they will turn to their mates to ask questions as to why they feel something or anything really. Though they will not admit it, females are very curious in human males. I haven’t found out why though just yet.
Maybe because they have that raw way of lashing out when they are angry or they follow their instincts more than their emotions and thought process. Whatever the case may be I have met many females in human form and they often blush and act strange whenever a good looking man comes by.
Also Exisa have a very guttural roar that rings through their territory which is about fifteen miles in a long stretch. So if you are in the area and hear a roar most likely you are near a Exisa territory or in it. Just be careful if you are though. For if the male is searching for a mate and you are a female he might want you. Don’t worry though for they can recognize their kind from ours. But just like the females crave for human males, male Exisa crave for human females along with Exisa females. Maybe it’s because human females can relate to male Exisa more so than their own kind.
Cubs also differ in personality and their curiosity levels. Some may be completely playful and friendly towards others while others are completely cruel and uninterested in being friends with you. That also includes males to being somewhat like the females though it's quite rare.
There is also breeds of Exisa though they only slightly differ from each other.
Breeds:
There are five breeds of Exisa and each is unique from the other.
First is Broconia, which does not have a skull like appearance and more fur covering it.
Second is Dracin, they do not have any fur and the males have small wings that aren't used for anything really.
Third is Sillicin, big heads, longer tongues and a nasty temper for both male and female, you better hope not to run into one.
Fourth is Jacklisig, small, delicate, and highly intelligent though will brag much more often than its bigger relatives. More fur and no skull looking head also no horns and feathery wings. Often mistaken for cubs of the fifth breed.
Fifth is Exisacal, the one I have been explaining through most of this info.
