not tactful... tack-full.
This week, monday dawned for me on 3 hours of sleep. The reason for the lost sleep isn't really a great reason for having so little sleep either (><;; ), so let's skip over that....
I got to work and soon discovered the gal that I cover for when she's not here... wasn't here and wouldn't be in. Called in sick. Then I get a high-priority request for hotel reservations... for tuesday night. Now... we're near a convention center here. Getting rooms on short notice that are really close can be difficult. I swear half my day yesterday was spent making and canceling these four room reservations as the qualifications for the rooms kept changing, putting first location as priority, then price, then location again.
Throw into this mix a friend who tends to want to say as little as possible since they assume they know already what I will say before I say it, which leads to lots of misunderstandings and hurt feelings.
What you get is one extremely cranky mousee-kitty. evil
I'd say I'm still a bit cranky today. If I weren't at work, I'd be wearing my grumpy shirt.
In other news.... so far as the normal journal updates and things go, I'm going to make a change or two. I'm going to start updating the clothing challenge in a separate journal entry from the weekly topics that Jakobo is doing. Doing both at once is an enormous update for my journal and a little too much work to go to for a single journal entry, and it keeps taking me longer and longer to get to it.
So, I'll be responding to the weekly topic, and I'll be updating the clothing challenge, just not at the same time.
Also, went and saw The Last Mimzy sunday night. It was really good! I could definitely see the hand of those involved in creating Close Encounters of the Third Kind too. xD; I also took advantage of the additional Mimzy quests we could do. My mimzy count is now up to nearly 50. ninja
