Promise
The heavens must be tired by now
After listening to me for so long
It's the same thing over and over again
An unforfillable wish
They're gonna stop listening to me soon
If they've even been listening at all
Inside I know it's hopeless
But hope is what keeps me breathing
I can summarize the story well now
After having told it often
Each time I did, the old wounds opened
Although they didn't bleed for as long
I promise I won't dream of you tonight
It only leads me to think of you tomorrow
Which leads me into a lonely night
Where I'll promise not to cry
