You were my dream, my fantasy, my only hope...
So why are you telling me to let you go?
How can I leave the one I love behind...
How can I be so unkind...
Why must I leave you here alone?
With you I thought I'd finally found my home...
Yet you smile to me as your hand leaves mine,
eyes locked with each other for one final time...
Tears begin to form under my eyes,
as you whisper your last good byes.
They begin to flow as your fingers slip through,
all this time i wanted this,
all this time i wanted you,
so please don't leave me here,
don't leave me all alone,
don't leave some unknown deeds for which i must atone.

Just sitting here I see the reasons why...
You left me and gave me sweet goodbyes...
You said I was not the one for you,
even though my love was pure and true...

Looking back on memories we had shared,
remembering how much we cared.
I realize why you loved me so,
i wish that you'd never had let me go-oo....

The times are passed and our story's told,
The memories of our adventures old.
Our ventures legends our journies bold,
Etched into time and into stone.

Note: not about real life events, i think i'll be using it, or a modified version for my story down the road.
