Humanity, that is how we refer to our race. Humanity is anything but humane. We kill each other for no reason, we attack the great majestic creatures and hunt them to extinction. We even hunt groups of our own kind to extinction. I am speaking of the gypsy clans, the Roma, as we have been called by some. I am one of these victims. The so called nobles blamed us for the Black Death, the plague which they brought apon themselves! It was no fault of ours! They call us sinners, yet they are the ones who KILL INNOCENT PEOPLE!!!!! My father, dead, burned at the stake under the charge of being a were wolf. My mother, enslaved by one of the guards for his personal amusement. MY FIANCE, MY ELIZABETH, RAPED AND TORTURED THEN BURNED AT THE STAKE BEFORE MY OWN EYES! ME, BEATEN, FORCED TO WATCH THE DEATH OF MY FIANCE AS PUNISHMENT OF MY CRIMES OF "WITCH CRAFT", I AM, RATHER I WAS, AN HERBOLOGIST AND FIRE THROWER! I JUGGLED FIRE TO BE ABLE TO ENJOY THE SOUND OF CHILDREN LAUGHING! I DIED BY MEANS OF MY BELOVED FIRE AND AT THE WORDS OF THE CHILDREN I HAD LIVED TO AMUSE! I was betrayed, the children, all of which had formed bonds with me, sold my whereabouts for a couple of silvers. When you can not even trust the innocence of a child, where has God gone. Fate has a sadistic sense of humor to her name indeed. Human, not humane, destined to kill each other off one by one until none remain. We consider ourselves so much higher than the other creatures of the world, but if we would just once take a moment to look at all that we have done and are doing, we would see the truth. We would fall down and weep and moan and cry for forgiveness, would we ever receive?
