Today Circe approached me with teary eyes. She looked the lowest she’s ever been. It tore at my heart to know that she was so sad. She had a look like vacancy. Against my better judgment, I put my finger to her chin and lifted up her head to make her eyes meet mine. I didn’t know why she felt bad, but I asked her what was wrong. She was reluctant to tell me. I reached into my backpack and pulled out a small box that was wrapped PERFECTLY. It had small ribbons and a bow on the top. While I was Christmas shopping with Dan, something hit me. It grabbed a hold of my senses and pulled me toward a store called "The Mountain" I looked at the things inside and wondered what had pulled me here. I felt another pull. I followed it. It led me straight to an oil burner that had three Egyptian dogs on it. I something told me to buy it. I did. I wrapped it up, not knowing what I was going to do with it. Something inside. I think it was my heart. It told me that the person that I was going to give it too was going to need it the most... I didn’t know whom, but I put it in my backpack this morning and took it to school. I guess id know who to give it too when the time was right. When I saw Circe I knew whom the present was for. Shanna says she doesn’t deserve anything from me. There’s only one problem. I know what Circe is going through. I went through it with Shanna and Rachel. Shanna, I guess hasn’t noticed the resemblance.
I don’t want her to go through the same pains that I went through. I pulled the box out and smiled, as I now knew that this present was going to light up her face. I set it on the table while she wasn’t looking and when she looked up, her eyes widened. They began to tear. She put her hands into her face and I heard tiny sobs. I leaned in close to her and pulled her hands away from her face and said, "I hope there’s a smile to go with those tears.” She did have a smile on her face. I made her smile again. I was grinning wide the entire time. She looked at me and said, "This couldn’t be for me."
"Yeah it sure it for you."
"Your funny..."
"I know, but that’s still for you."
She lost her smile and her face became more, caring.
"You really really really shouldn't have."
"But I did..."
She looked down and said quietly, "Thank you..."
"Your welcome."
I leaned down to my backpack when I felt her move toward me. I smiled and leaned back up.
"I sense you wanted to hug me right?"
She nodded shyly and I leaned over the desk and she gave me a strong hug. After that she put her head down. I leaned in and moved her hair out of her eyes, which were fixated on mine through her hair and I whispered, "Merry Christmas."
"You too." She whispered back.
At times like this I am proud of myself... I don't think I’ll be alive too much longer because of all these demon attacks. Even after getting attacked by that assassin demon I was attacked once again. I failed mention that to anyone. Not even Shanna. She's worried to death about me...
What happened was I decided it was time for revenge. I walked into the darkness again and I felt it again. This time it was circling me. I just stood there with me eyes closed. Something weird happened... From the blackness of my eyes being closed I suddenly saw a figure in the black depths of my mind. It looked a lot like a human, but with a long tail that spiked at the bottom and had a beak with teeth. It had wings also, which explains how it dragged me. I saw myself in the hallway and the demon sneaking up behind me. I don’t know how I was able to do it but suddenly I opened my eyes and turned around (this all seemed to happen in slow motion in my eyes) To see a red figure, as if a spotlight was on it, charging at me. Already I had my foot cocked and swinging toward its chest. I surprise the demon because the glow if its eyes got bigger as my foot slammed into it. The weird thing is that it seemed like I hit the demon with the power of a speeding bus because it was flung into the wall way harder than it was supposed too. I heard a snap and it hit the ground. This time it didn’t disappear. I even was able to walk up to it and grab it. It was cold to the touch, sort of reptilian texture. I lifted it off the ground with my injured arm, with all the power I put into lifting it up with only that arm my cuts came open once again and began to bleed through the bandages. It still had a slight glow in its eyes as I spoke to it. Its like I was whispering gibberish to it. Like. I was speaking its language naturally.
"Payback is a b***h isn’t it demon? Tell your Master that I aint going nowhere and that i said hi." I punched it the face like i would a wooden board and its head cracked and it fell limp than literally sunk into the ground slowly. Like the Earth was eating it.
I had a lot of questions in my head at this moment. How the hell was I able to see it even though my eyes were closed as if they were open? Why, than after I opened my eyes was I able to see it? Did I kill it? How was it that my kick did so much damage to the monster when in real life against a human would have only slide about four to five feet?
