Right, so..... go figure, the first post in this journal doo-hickey will be an angry one. ::TEEN AAAANGST:: Although, I'm in a better mood now. Dunno why. Magic? Perhaps.
So there was this day. Yesterday, to be exact. I was sitting innocently at the computer, writing up an essay...when all of a sudden..! BAM! I get an MSN message from a friend. He's inviting me to Gaming Night?! Sweet! Soul Calibur III, here I come! Of course...it was never to be.
When I asked my mother, she asked for specifics, like most mothers would. I told her: A close friend of mine one grade up from me, has invited me to Gaming Night. It's with a college student, ALSO a friend of mine, and some of his friends. They rented the big penthouse, with the huge TV! It was amazing! Now, here's the kicker. I would be the only girl there. For this reason alone, my mother would not let me go, telling me 'Your father would walk all over me if I let you go to something like that!' So, I called my father. Guess what? 'I trust your mother's judgement.' So, basically, I'm not allowed to go because my parents are scared shitless of each other. O____O WTF?
That was bad enough, but things got worse. My brother then left for his friend's house. About 15 minutes later, my best friend invites me over to his house and to stay the night. I ask my mother if I can go to that since Gaming Night was a no-no. She simply says no, I cannot go over, and even if I could, I wouldn't be able to sleep over because my brother wasn't allowed to sleep over at HIS friend's. Anger? Oh yeah. Definately building. Now...here's the FUN part. stressed
10 minutes later, my brother calls from his friend's house. Two minutes later, low and behold, he's sleeping over at his friends. He not only got to go to his friend's house, but ALSO got to sleep over....whereas I was robbed of both Gaming Night, going to my best friend's house, and sleeping over at my best friend's house. While my brother is out having fun, I'm sitting here at home, left to rot like an old halloween pumpkin. >_____>
Go figure. Anyway, that's my story and I'm stickin' to it! I really hope I have something HAPPY to complain about next time. whee
