Some weeks had passed since Zabuza went to see Yagura. Zabuza was still unsure what to make of that look he had, but he still had to go on missions. It would look out of place if he suddenly decided to not go on anymore, but he also didn’t like the idea of having to leave the brat behind any longer than he had to. He was forced to take lower risk missions, or at least ones that he could solo and be fast about. This was one of those times where he needed to go.
Ann~No, Zaza.
Zabuza~What do you mean no? I have to go
Ann~No, Zaza!
She was firmer, even stomped her foot like he does when he means it.
Zabuza~Here, your bottle
He was exasperated and on the verge of being late. Zabuza picked her up while giving her a bottle then laid her down on his bed
Zabuza~Sleep, ok? Good night.
Ann~No, Zaza
She reached up for him, her little hand opening and closing while the other hugged the bottle.
Zabuza~ *sigh* Fine ok, I won't go. Less of a pain when she sleeps...Then I'll go on my mission...
He laid down on his side beside her, rubbing her cheek. He hoped that would help her fall asleep faster.
Zabuza~Just sleep, Ann. I almost wish I could get a nanny. But I could do that then Ane certainly would have…There has to be a reason, probably related to that feeling she had…
Ann yawned and continued nursing her bottle. Once she finally fell into a deep sleep, Zabuza carefully got out of bed. Ann stirred around a little but didn't wake. Zabuza pulled up a thin blanket onto her, placed another bottle by her in case she woke and left. He even hesitated at the door, wishing he knew some sort of sealing or alerting type of jutsu.

When Zabuza came back hours later, Ann was drawing on the walls with a pencil she found.
Zabuza~H-hey! What the hell are you doing?! Quit that!
He dropped his things at the door then all but ran to take away the pencil in her hand.
Ann~Mine mine mine!!!
Zabuza~No, mine!
She immediately started screaming and crying
Zabuza~Shut up!
He picked her up after throwing the pencil at a nearby table. She started hitting him through her tears in futile defiance.
Zabuza~ *sigh* Such a pain...Why?
He put her on the bed and showed her her pacifier. She took in her mouth then got off the bed and walked into the kitchen
Ann~Ah
Ann sniffled.
Zabuza~You're hungry? Ugh...
He got up while taking off his shirt, glanced at the door to make sure it was locked, and went to the kitchen to cook something for them. It started to get easier to feed her once her teeth started coming in. But that posed a different challenge now too.

After eating, Zabuza carried Ann to the bathroom
Ann whined~Nooooo...
Zabuza~Yes. Bath time
Ann~No no no no
She tried pushing away from him. Zabuza sighed and closed the door. He started to fill the tub part way and then undressed Ann and set her poo-fill diaper in the sink
Zabuza~Little poop machine...
he set her on the toilet seat and washed her before putting her in the tub. She sat down and started splashing around
Zabuza~ *sigh* Ane...Why'd you have to die? Of the things you've done to me as your little brother this is the ******** worst.
he dipped his fingers in the water and flicked some water as Ann splashed about.
Zabuza~You stupid kid...By the time you're five I bet you'll be running around breaking people's things if not their legs
He scoffed at his own joke. Ann looked up at him and smiled, the few teeth she had showing. Zabuza ruffled her hair with his other hand then took off the locket she still had on.

After the bath and dressing her back up, he laid her down in bed with a bottle in her mouth and a bow in her hair
Zabuza~This kid's such a hand full...but atleast she's good by herself...for the most part
He glared at the scribbles on the wall, thankful he didn't own any crayons and that she only found a pencil. It was probably within reach of her grubby little hands from the table. He sighed and went back to the bathroom to throw away the diaper from earlier. He started the shower before Ane's locket caught his eye. He hadn’t put back on Ann like he normally would.
Zabuza~I need to start investigating…
He sighed again, feeling a migraine form. His moment to shower in peace is his only saving grace right now. As soon as he gets into bed, he’s going to get cuddled before he can get settled.
