A Pirate's Life for Me {Words by Xavier Atencio and music by George Bruns}

Jack and Vadri, being stuck in their cell all night with the cannon and gunfire ringing through the air outside, had settled for repeated rounds of arm wrestling. Jack tended to win more, but they were fairly evenly matched. They had gone through best two-out-of-three, three-out-of-five, et cetra, and were now on best hundred-fifty-out-of-one-ninety-nine when Will came in, Sharkey behind him, a triumphant look on her face.

"You, Sparrow," Will said.

"Aye?" Jack didn't even bother looking up from his arm wrestling match with Vadri-- it was tied 150-150. Whoever won this won it all.

"You were familiar with that ship the Black Pearl?"

There was a pause. "DAMMIT!" Jack yelled as his arm was pinned to the ground by Vadri. He sighed and stood up, turning to Will. "I've 'eard of it."

"Where does it make berth?"

Sharkey, Vadri, and Jack each went into a state of shock.

"HAVE YOU NOT BLOODY HEARD THE BLOODY STORIES?!" Sharkey yelled.

Will shook his head slightly.

"Captain Barbossa, and his crew of miscreants," Jack said, "sail from the dreaded Isle de Muerta. It is an island that cannot be found EXCEPT by those who already know where it is."

"The ship's real enough, therefore its anchorage must be a real place! WHERE IS IT?!"

"And who says Isle de Muerta ISN'T a real place?" Vadri asked.

"It's not a real place," Will said.

"You know," Sharkey put in, "they said the Pearl wasn't real either, and we all know how THAT turned out..."

"Yes, but..."

"And just because YOU haven't been there, doesn't mean WE haven't..."

Jack turned to Vadri. "You've been there? When??"

She lowered her voice. "We'll talk about that later..."

"Point being," Sharkey continued, "the Isle de Muerta is a real place."

Will opened his mouth to protest again, but was cut off by Jack, who was suddenly struck by realization. "ARE YOU TWO CURSED TOO?!" he asked, turning to the two girls.

"Could be..."

"No... I mean yes... I mean.....AARGH!" (see footnote)

Will gave an exaspirated sigh. He was getting nowhere. "Look," he said with a frustrated edge to his voice, "if I get you out will you help me save Elizabeth?!"

"Sure."

"Yeah."

"All right."

Everyone turned to Sharkey.

"You're already out, Sharkey..." Vadri muttered.

"I know. I was agreeing that I'd help him find Elizabeth," Sharkey explained.

And so, with that being said, Will helped the other two break out of their cell and they were off!

~~~~~~~~
A Note regarding the Curse: I ain't sayin' who said what... adds to the suspense... sort of... kind of... and those that read Search for Tomorrow know that Vadri has her own kind of 'curse' what with the Dark Eco testing and all that...
