Jak was staring after Vadri when she left. Was he falling in love with her? Nah, he couldn't be... could he? He'd only known her for a little over a week, but.... He slowly started to make his way back to where Daxter and Faramir were still waiting on him to report back.

I'll just act like it never happened, he thought. Like I didn't just see her... but at least I know where she went...

He got back to camp and told the others he had found a town where Vadri might be held captive.

When Vadri returned, Jack was the only one up, having been the first to recover from the hang-over. Seeing that Vadri was somewhat distracted, he staggered over to where she was sitting in the bow of the ship.

"Wot's a matter, luv? Somethin' wrong?"

"...he's coming for me," she said.

"'oo?"

"Jak..."

"I'm bloody Jack! Now 'oo's comin' for ya?"

"Jak is... not you, a different Jak...."

In his drunken way, Jack plopped down next to her, nearly falling over. "An' lemme guess, las' time you saw 'im, 'e was with some other girl, eh?"

She shook her head. "No... last time I saw him... never mind. I'll just pretend it never happened."

"Tha's usually the best thing t' do, luv. Now, how's for some rum?"
