The next day, after getting cleaned up (although refusing to wear a gown), Vadri skipped down to the cells to rub it in Jak's face that she wasn't in prison anymore, and he was.
"Sucks to be you, don't it?" she said. "Aw, come on, don't be so sad, at least I'm not in there anymore, eh?"
Daxter pulled himself up on the bars. "Yeah, but now that you're gone, Jak's been all moody and stuff."
"Don't worry, Dax, I'll make sure you're not executed or anything," she said, trying to sound reassuring. She was very bouncy, and uncannily perky, being out of jail for the first time in seven years without escaping.
Jak walked over to the door. "Yeah, you're out, but aren't you supposed to marry the guy that put us in here?"
She brushed off the comment. "Yeah, but at least I'm not behind bars any more. So NYAH! Besides, I can probably get out of the marriage part..."
"But Torn isn't here to save you this time," Jak said.
She froze. "...who told you about that?" she asked, lowering her voice.
"Torn did. But we can't tell you what else he said. We're sworn to secrecy."
"Tell ya what, your trial's tomorrow, so if you tell me what Torn said about me, I might help to get you out of here."
Daxter readily agreed, but Jak said, "We tell you what Torn said AFTER you get us out."
"Fine. I'll see what I can do. In the meantime..." she grabbed her bag off the wall "...I'll be taking THIS back." With that, she turned and walked out without saying anything else.
