How could I have fallen for it
Something I swore off from the start
But it's something that I really want
Yet I guess soon I'll have to say goodbye.

I made a mistake and said a big lie
Not really something I could avoid
This is really not right, never has been
All I can do is stop this tears from my eyes.

I knew my end would be in a rainy night
It never fails that Nature knows my grief
It will now be the only thing by my side
It's really the only comfort I seek.

I've deceived them all and for that I'm ashamed
But I've got to keep up with life too
Someday they'll come to terms with it
That I really, really love you.
