The clock struck twelve. As the first ding resonated, I sat up in my bed and waited for the light. Within seconds, that violet light that acted as a halo in my dreams, appeared in front of me. The angel that had given me life appeared between the haze and his bright violet eyes stared at me as he had done for many nights. I had fallen in love with him, and he with me, but it was wrong and tonight, he was to bid me farewell. A tear ran down my face.
"You know of my departure, and even though I love you I cannot stay. But I will look after you until you die and love you forever."
I hugged him and kissed him and he wiped away my tears.
"Goodbye," he said.
"Goodbye, my dear angel," I replied.
In a second he was gone and I as I looked at the mirror in my vanity, I saw a halo surround me and knew that he'd be with me forever.
