Sky Light
i gazed up at the sky today,
the brilliant blue,
and i almost turned away,
something about the sky,
makes me feel as if i shouldn't see it,
the colors were comforting,
soft whites,
delicate creams,
sweet yellows,
and baby blues,
it seemed to radiate a warmth in my mind,
as i continued to watch,
the clouds caught my eye,
still staning,
unmoved,
untouched,
splayed out across the sky,
in erotic patterns and shaped,
and it looked to me,
as if they were painted,
thin and thick brush strokes
across the canvass of the sky
then i wondered what artist painted this masterpiece,
and as i pondered,
a warm breeze rolled by,
and i stopped my pondering,
rolled over in the lush cool grass,
i closed my eyes,
and i was left to dream.
