Cooking Mama, that is. After extenuous play, I have to say that Cooking Mama is just plain fun. For those that do not read previous posts, Cooking Mama is a game for the Nintendo DS that pits you in the place of an apprentice chef, crafting unique and interesting dishes for your mentor, Mama. The dishes range from cooking rice, to creating elaborate dishes such as stuffed cabbage rolls, egg rolls, neopolitan crab spaghetti and much much more. The game totes a 65+ recipes, plus the ability to mix and match your recipes into whole new cullinary concoctions.

The game is, in a nutshull, is a series of mini-activities such as chopping vegetables, rolling dough, seasoning mixtures, stirring and adding ingrediants to a dish etc. These activities are quick and in many cases require very quick reflexes while others are as simple as pushing a few buttons (such as setting the clock timer to a specific time). With the huge list of recipes, and the constant effort to perfect your preperation, Cooking Mama is well beyond the worth of it's $20 price tag (yes...you heard me $20. Incredibly cheap new release for the DS and well worth the money). I highly suggest picking up this game, as well as passing it along to your friends to try, it is the epitomy of imaginative fun from menial tasks.
